Perfume - The Aromatic Fragrance

By Dr John Anne

Perfume is known for its aromatic fragrance. It is mixture of essential oils and aromatic compounds that gives a pleasing smell. Perfume is generally related with sensual and passionate aspects of one's life. The exact chemical formula is never distributed publicly.

Some perfume ingredients are animal products and some of them are castor comes from beavers, musk from male deer and ambergris from the sperm whale. Animal substances are often used as fixatives that enable perfume to evaporate slowly and emit odors longer. Other fixatives include coal tar, mosses, resins, or synthetic chemicals. Alcohol and sometimes water are used to dilute ingredients in perfumes.

Many a time man and women find it difficult to get the perfect perfume is a stressful, time-consuming experience. If you familiarize yourself with the six basic fragrance groups, you will not only save time, but also make your shopping experience more enjoyable.

Make a perfume

To make your perfume you mix at least 25 drops total of essential oils divided evenly between base, middle and top notes. Add a few drops of the bridge oil. Add 2 1/2 ounces of alcohol, shake for a few minutes, and then let it sit for 48 hours. Add 2 tablespoons spring water, stir, then pour through a coffee filter and put it in a bottle.

Fragrance oils may be used in place of the essential oils for a cheaper version. Cover your work area with a plastic sheet. Essential oils and fragrance oils may damage surfaces. A good fragrance formula should consist of 75% dilatations such as vodka, and 25% fragrances. Glycerin is a good fixative, which can be added to formulas to help it retain its scents.

Plants have long been used in perfumery as a source of essential oils and aroma compounds. These aromatics are usually secondary metabolites produced by plants as protection against herbivores, infections, as well as to attract pollinators. Plants are by far the largest source of fragrant compounds used in perfumery. The sources of these compounds may be derived from various parts of a plant. A plant can offer more than one source of aromatics, for instance the aerial portions and seeds of coriander have remarkably different odors from each other. Orange leaves, blossoms, and fruit zest are the respective sources of petit grain, neroli, and orange oils.

5 Types of Common Scalp Problems

By Kristy Carlson

People suffer from different kinds of scalp problems. It ranges from simple to more serious skin conditions. Nonetheless, almost all problems of the scalp are upsetting. The treatment however, varies. There is no one solution to solving all sorts of these hair issues.

The following are some of the common scalp problems:

1. Dandruff

Dandruff is a scalp condition generally caused by fungus. Some says that yeast cause this. Most are familiar with this because there are many people who are dealing with it. Men and women suffer from this. It causes drying, itching, and flaking of the scalp. Using an anti dandruff shampoo will deal with the matter. Over the counter anti-dandruff shampoos are good for daily use. However, there are also shampoos especially recommended for more serious dandruff conditions.

2. Dry Skin

Dry skin is easier to deal with. If you have this, moisturizing is essential. People who have dry scalp have dry hair as well. If you have this hair type, shampooing daily is not good because it will wash away the natural oil on your scalp. When drying the hair, use products similar with the tourmaline hair dryers because it gives hair a smoothing effect.

3. Hair Loss

Fifty to one hundred strands of hair fall off our head every day. This is normal. The problem starts when a person experience excessive hair fall. There are many causes of hair fall. It can be a side effect of a particular medication. Stress and emotional distress can also cause this.
Hormonal change affects hair fall as well. Its treatment depends on what caused the problem. If it is because of your medication, you can wait until the treatment is complete. If it concerns stress and depression, you can seek help from a professional.

4. Scalp sores and blisters

Other problems one can encounter with his scalp are small bumps or blisters. This can be as simple as pimples or as serious as skin allergies. If the little bumps do not go away and they itch, consult a dermatologist. You may be suffering from more serious skin conditions.

5. Oily scalp

The problem with oily scalp is that they make you feel uncomfortable and uneasy. It also looks like you placed too much gel, cream, or mouse on your hair than necessary. Using shampoo and conditioner designed for oily hair will help you manage your hair. Daily shower will also help wash off the excess oil from your hair and scalp.

Scalp problems may appear similar sometimes. In order to treat it, take a closer look at the symptoms and find out its root cause. There are products that can help you deal with simple scalp problems. For example, an anti dandruff shampoo helps you get rid of dandruff. Deep conditioning and blow-drying with tourmaline hair dryers will help you with hair and scalp dryness. Using appropriate shampoo and conditioner will stop your scalp from greasing.
However, professional are necessary for more serious scalp conditions. This can be a simple symptom of a graver health condition.

Self Grooming - Are We Losing the Skills?

By Lillybeth Melmoth

Do-It-Yourself'er or Pampered Pet? Who do you rely on to 'make you beautiful'? An increasing number of New Zealand women rely on beauty therapists and clinics to polish, deep-cleanse, tweeze and tan them towards perfection. It's enough of an increase, that in the industry right now, there's a shortage of beauty therapists and nail technicians to meet demand. But in leaving their beautification up to the 'experts', are modern women losing the skills to do basic grooming for themselves?

A beauty editor for Runway Reporter observes the trend from Auckland. She writes:
"A friend of mine travels to Sydney with the express purpose of having her brows shaped there by a therapist famous for her deft touch rather than lift a tweezer herself. Another friend trots off on a weekly basis in summer to our residential beauty parlour to have a fake tan applied because clearly opening a bottle of self-tanner and spending five minutes slapping it on after her shower is far too much trouble."

Wow. And it almost doesn't sound so fun, visiting a beauty clinic regularly for something as mundane as eyebrow shaping. Where's the relaxation or indulgence in that? (I must be of the old-school who still thinks 'rose petals and fragrant oils' when faced with the words 'beauty clinic' and who uses them mostly as a luxury or treat!) And in my humble (and not so jet-setterly opinion) it sounds rather impractical visiting a therapist every time I want some eyebrows removed, not to mention a debatable use of money. But back to the beauty editor at Runway':
"[As] New Zealanders [we] pride ourselves on being a DIY nation. We think we can sort it all out for ourselves with nothing more than a bit of number eight wire. Well, not anymore. These days we are pampered pets who have become so domesticated by the beauty therapists that, left in the wilds of our own homes, we do not have the ability to do even the most basic grooming on ourselves."

If that describes you - "domesticated by the beauty therapists" - are you still capable of doing the essentials for yourself if and when you want to? Think: styling your hair, shaping your brows, properly taking care of your skin, maintaining your nails, smoothing your legs...or have you lost the skills now that beauty has been literally taken out of your hands? You may not feel the urge to mix up a mask from yogurt and rolled oats in your kitchen (although it can be done), but self-beautification and the independence that goes with it is within your reach!

How to Look Great in an Instant

By Lisa A. Sharp

KEEP IT YELLOW
Ever wonder why candlelight dinners are so romantic? That's because men can't help but swoon at the beautiful woman sitting in front of them, thanks to the soft shadows playing on her cheeks cast by flickering candlelight. Yellow lighting is more complementary to your features compared to harsh fluorescent lighting. So whenever possible, appear in yellow lighting to look more enchanting. Why do you think stage actors always use yellow spotlights and not fluorescent lighting?

BE PHOTOGRAPHED ONLY ON YOUR GOOD SIDE
Models know only too well about the importance of being photographed on their good side. Study celebrities and super models on the red carpet and notice how they always strike a pose on the same side when cameras are clicking. "I always focus on a model's better side during a beauty shoot to bring out the best in her," says professional photographer Meng. Most of us are not born with the desired symmetrical face but we can always put our best face forward, literally. To find yours, pose in front of the mirror or better yet, snap a picture of yourself on both the right and left sides, then get your friends to help vote on your best side.

TURN YOUR BACK ON THE SUN
This is especially useful when you're out on a lunch date. Sit with your back facing the sun (choose a window seat) so that the sun's rays create a luminous halo around you instead of shinning on that zit. The sunlight behind you also adds an aura of surrealism to mesmerize your date!

WEAR YOUR JACKIE Os
From the late Jackie Onassis to Angeline Jolie, famous women hardly step out of the house without their big framed sunglasses. Hot favorites are the Jackie Os (spotted on Katie Holmes and Victoria Beckham) and aviators (spotted on Angeline Jolie and Madonna). Worn in traditional fashion or pushed up to the crown to hold your hair back, it gives you instant movie-star glamor. There are also women who specifically buy sunglasses that sit well on top of their heads because they know it looks glamorous that way. Oh, and as if you don't already know, shades are great for protecting eyes from the sun, hiding eye bags and dark circles, when you're too lazy to apply eye make-up.

HEELS UP
Let's face it, there's a very good reason why we subject ourselves to those bunions and achy calves- high heels make even the chunkiest of calves look lean and the shortest of legs look miles long. It adds height for elegance and enhances the fit of a pair of slacks or jeans. Plus, strutting around in stilettos helps exercise those muscles - and we love well-toned legs. Perhaps the most convincing reason is that stilettos create the illusion of longer, thinner legs on the wearer. "High heels give you a boost and slim the meatiest calves," says Lisa Norris, UK's TV celebrity booker and author of Get Glamorous. "We girls must view our bunions as our badge of glamor. Besides, one of the greatest pleasures of stiletto addiction is coming home at night, pouring a glass of pink champagne and slipping them off," she says.

FRINGE BENEFIT
You've perhaps admired a model's sexy side-parted fringe in a shampoo commercial or wish your hair would move with the wind like the models' on a runway. With a little help from your hairstylist, you can stop coveting. Get him to give you a side-parted fringe and wispy layers on each side of your face. The first helps to slim the face and instantly ups your sexy barometer. Wispy layers on both sides will give you the 'wind in your hair' effect. "When styling your hair, let wisps of hair fall over one side of your face. This is easy when you know which side of flattering. I've transformed many women's hairstyles just by applying that simple trick," says hairstylist Ivan Cheng. "Most of them love the seductive allure that a hairstyle can create. It gives them the confidence that they look good and will make them begin to take better care of their hair."

TRY SHOULDER-DUSTERS
You've probably seen Charlize Theron or Nicole Kidman work this trick at the Oscar's to up the ante. We're talking about wearing big, bedazzled, shoulder-dusters earrings that add instant glamorous on a glitzy night out. It works like a charm every time, especially when you are sporting an up-do. "I revel in the way it grazes my shoulder whenever I move around. I don't know whether it's the cold metal on my skin or the way the jewels rattle against each other as the earrings swish around, but it makes me feel regal," gushes Cynthia Johnson, an avid fan of drop-earrings. Even inexpensive earrings can effortlessly make your outfit look expensive.

INVEST IN HEADGEAR
JLo made the large-rimmed summer hat (usually reserved for farmers) look cool again, while Britney Spears showed that berets can be stylish. At one point, these were their signature styles. You may complain that our humid weather makes it uncomfortable to wear hats but try shopping around for ones that are made of lighter fabrics. They actually help block out UV rays which contribute to darkening your complexion and fading your hair color. Stylish protection does not come any easier. You don't have to look like you're trying too hard by donning a big hat a' la old-Hollywood glamor but opt instead for current fashion favorites such as the striped fedora hat or camel-colored beret.

RUN LADY RUN!
Exercise does your skin a lot of good. "What many people don't realize is that our skin is the largest organ of our body, and thus, the benefits can be enormous," says Audrey Kunin, dermatologist and author or The DERMAdoctor Skinstruction Manual. "Among them is increased circulation and delivery of nutrients to skin cells, whooshing away potentially damaging toxins. Another is giving skin the optimum conditions for making collagen, the support fibers that help keep wrinkles and lines at bay," says Kunin. There's nothing like a bit of dancing, a morning job around the park or romp on the bed to bring out those rosy cheeks. When you exercise, your oxygen intake increases, rejuvenating your skin and promoting better blood circulation that will translate into a healthy flush. Toning exercises such as yoga and Pilates further help to reduce appearance of cellulite and tighten skin, inevitably giving you anti-aging benefits. Also, those headstands and downward dog poses boost rich blood supply to the face giving you pink cheeks.

SMILES
There will always be things that make you frown and want to throw a fit, but there's nothing like a big smile to turn things around. Just like you, people are only attracted to cheerful personalities. You can't expect to be attractive, approachable or well-liked if you emit negative energy all the time. Smiling is the best way to release anger and anxiety. A smile is programmed to exercise the facial muscles, making the face glow and become more firm and supple. A smile coaxes the brain to produce endorphins (feel-good hormones and natural painkillers) and can instantly light up your face. Result : people around you will find you irresistibly beautiful.
Remember the expression - smile and the world smiles with you!

Get Rid of Chapped Lips

By Dr John Anne

Lips are considered the most important part of the beauty. Even poets wrote thousands of poems on the beauty of their beloved in which beauty of lips are highlighted. Every person wants smooth lips but in colder months lips become chapped and results in bleeding.

Chapped lips are often looked dry, red and flaky. This condition is very painful and sometimes these crack results in bleeding. Generally, pain is shifting but pain become continuous whenever lips become drier and cuts appears more deeply.

Causes

Normally, chapped lips occur when moisture of lips disappears. In the absence of moisture lips become easily chapped. The main cause of chapped lips is exposure to sun, wind, heat and dry air as all these conditions take the moisture from the skin. If you are not taking essential fatty acids or a diet that is poor in vitamin B, there are much chances of having dry lips. Dehydration is another cause of dry lips. If someone applies the lipstick which is highly chemical then there is a chance of having chapped lips.

Get rid of chapped lips

If your lips are not smooth even after applying a heavy amount of Vaseline you can use some useful things as they can help you getting chapped lips. You can smooth your lips on every morning and night by applying lip balm on it. Always try to use natural beauty product for decorating your lips. Prefer using a moisturized lipstick, as it will secure the moisture of lips.

Take warm water and cloth. Now, dip the cloth in water but be sure the cloth is not very hot to burn the skin. Rub the affected area with that cloth. After that splash cool water over it and put some moisturizing lip-gloss. Use a soft brush to remove the dead skin of lips. Apply a lip balm over your lips. Repeat the process as many time, as you feel necessary.

The Brazilian Wax - First Time Urban Myths

By Janine Summerset

Forget what you've heard about first time waxes, the grueling pain, huge slabs of fleshy wax and pubic hair removed and the horror screams coming from beauty salons across the country.
Why? Well, they're simply not true and are really more of an urban myth.

The truth is you like millions of other women out there are confidently leaping into the final frontier of beauty perfection. If you're spending big money on your hair, skin, gym visits and tanning, you can't leave your neither regions to chance either.

You can bet your 'competition' has already discovered this little secret, isn't it about time you did too? You'll need to at least 'tidy up' downstairs, or the new man in your life really may think he's really in a horror movie!

So, your Brazilian appointments booked...

You found your nearest salon online, or asked a close friend where she gets hers done, and the $50 in your purse will soon buy you something unusual if you're new to body treatments of this kind. And I promise its value will buy you thousands more in the bedroom once you're finished.
(The reason, the Brazilian wax was recently voted by men as the sexiest waxing style on women)

Then you enter the salon, and soon meet your professionally trained and experienced beauty therapist. Never go to a dodgy looking salon and always try and get a reference or recommendation first.

You'll be asked to remove your clothing below the waist and may be offered disposable underwear. This depends a little on the Brazilian wax style you choose. More basic style allow underwear to be worn, others require full access to remove all the hair.

It's up to you if you go 'all-off' first - not what I'd recommend as the pain may be a little too much to get used to in one hit.

Better to try one of the basic waxes first and see what pain relief options are available at the salon. Best to call up beforehand and see what they can offer, this way you can check to see if they're suitable for your health needs as well.

The rest is pretty straight forward really, it's just waxing, but 'down there'.

Your beautician is professionally trained so she should know all the tips and tricks to ensure you get a great result, with minimal discomfort, every time.

Follow the instructions given to you at the salon about post-waxing and the things to do (and not do) between salon visits.

I'm sure you'll love your new look - I should know, I've helped thousands of women wax for the first time over the years and I never tire of hearing how it's changed their lives.

Then, hit the town, enjoy your newfound confidence for a whole month before your next visit - it may be one of the best months of your life!

To your waxing success,

Do it Yourself Brazilian Wax at Home

By Janine Summerset

Home means different things to different people. My mother use to say that home is where the heart is. And my father, home is where you hang your hat. While Dorothy (think Wizard of Oz) said theres no place like home, theres no place like home... (and a third time), theres no place like home...

Before clicking her heels and instantly appearing back in Kansas, just in time for a quick home Brazilian wax 'touch-up' before hitting the town.

Yeah, right. You don't often hear of peoples amazing experience with home waxing now do you?
I mean over the years in the salon I've heard plenty of home waxing tales like waxing at home ends in tears.. and endless horror stories of burning wax spilled in un-godly places, strips of cloth pulled off with huge clumps of un-wanted (and wanted) hair and worst of all... the pain!

Mention napalm, childbirth and waxing accident all in the same mouthful and you get the idea, but you know what, I don't buy a word of it, and I'll tell you why...

For most people your home is a safe, comfortable and secure place that's private and where you can be YOU. Friends and loved ones in; strangers stay out. And a Brazilian wax of your 'nether regions' is similar in many ways.

It's something pretty darn intimate and about 99.8% of the time a private affair. Probably fair to say it's certainly not somewhere you want strangers poking about, right?

Well the truth is that most women visit a salon for a bikini or Brazilian wax, not because they look forward to it, or enjoy the process, but because they love the results and don't know how else to achieve them.

However the second truth I discovered was when some of my most trusted clients began whispered about wanting to find out about the possibility of waxing at home.

I couldn't believe it! And it wasn't because of privacy, or comfort issues or to avoid embarrassment (which I could understand). No, as they put it, it was simply to know if it could be done, how easy it was to do and how did the results compare to a salon wax. Well, with hand on my heart I told them.

If you follow a few easy steps I give you, stay calm, and don't rush or make any sudden movements, yes, you can achieve some fantastic results, easily, at home, in private, for little cost and without your favorite beautician by your side. But what I really found surprising was that no-one had asked me earlier on, as for years I'd been self-waxing at home and thought nothing of it.

All I asked my clients who wanted to try a Brazilian wax at home was to share their results with me and to come back at any time they didn't feel comfortable with what they were doing.
And over the years many of them waxed successfully at home and were really happy with their results.

It took a few years, but eventually I put pen to paper on how to successfully Brazilian wax at home and gave away many of my 'waxing secrets' to special clients who wanted to discover how to home wax for themselves.

Perhaps you're interested in discovering these waxing secrets too?

To your home waxing success,

Hair Shampoo - Choosing the Best Shampoo For Your Hair

By Tim Faber

Hair shampoo seems to be the one hair product we either spend a lot of time thinking about, or little time thinking about. I have friends who swear by their brand and type of shampoo, and I have friends who don't think twice about using a bar of soap.

As president of one of the largest hair products manufacturers and distributors on the web, you can imagine I'm cringing at the thought of using soap to wash my hair. Yep, it's a pretty scary though, but it gets the job done...and generally with little harm.

Having said that, I do not support using bar soap to wash your hair or as a substitute for a well-selected shampoo. Hair shampoo, if chosen wisely, can do wonders for your hair. May products are formulated to either address specific hair problems or types, or to improve manageability and control. Understanding what you are looking for in a hair shampoo is the first "best step" towards finding the best shampoo for you.

What shampoo is best for your hair?

Many people are immediately aware of shampoos that allow their hair to behave and feel good. Sometimes by blind luck we use a product that "just works" for our hairstyle and type. It could be on vacation at a hotel or a friend or relatives house, it could be something you pick-up at the grocery store, or it could be something that's been under the counter for a while you forgot you had. Either way, we periodically find something we love and that works well for our hair.

What makes a hair shampoo best for you? The answer is often related to your hair type. Coarse, thick or dry hair generally requires more moisture that most hair types to maintain control and manageability. Thin or thinning hair styles benefit from products that "plump" or add body. Hair prone to breaking needs strength and styles or types that frizz easily may need shampoo that encourages damage repair.

Hair shampoo can generally be divided into a small group of categories based on their function:

Moisturizing

Damage repair

Strengthening

Growth

Frizz and dry hair control

Oily hair maintenance

Color maintenance

Many manufacturers have further subdivided these categories and have introduced product lines or sub-lines to target specific active ingredients e.g., tea tree oil, green tea, olive oil, coffee, etc. But generally, addressing your hair type and style combined with pleasing aroma is the best combination.

Hair shampoo that moisturizes is probably the most effective and popular among hair products. The leading cause of damage is fluid depletion from heat damage, chemical treatments or over-styling. Shampoo that uses Emu Oil, Panthenol, or tea tree oil help improve moisture content, moisture retention and provides control to dry, frizzy or fly-away hair.

For faster growing hair, many manufacturers use Trichogen or Minoxidil formulations to stimulate new hair growth and to slow or reverse hair loss. Trichogen is a botanical complex of 14 herbs, minerals and compounds which have been shown to improve blood circulation to the scalp, increase nutrient and vitamin delivery, and enhancing vital nutrients for hair growth.
Usually combined with shampoos that deep clean to remove obstacles to hair growth, hair shampoo developed for hair growth can help stimulate growth and improve manageability to thin or thinning hair.

Oily hair presents its own problems. Sebaceous glands located within the follicle pore secrete sebum - hair oil - that works to lubricate and nourish the follicle shaft. Sebaceous glands can become overactive and the result is oily or greasy hair. Though regular or frequent washing will help fight oily hair, regulating the sebaceous gland is the best method for controlling oily hair. Hair shampoo that contains Zinc PCA will not only deep clean, but will regulate oil production - providing cleaner fresher hair.

When considering which hair shampoo is best for your, first consider your hair type and what your objectives may be. Experiment and try different brands - there are many products available that not only smell great but can give you ultimate control and style.

Healthy Hair Plus carries a complete selection of hair shampoo, conditioners, and styling aids.
Keep up the with latest hair advice, hair styles, trends and natural ingredients for healthy, faster growing hair.

Yes, Moms Can Look Gorgeous Too!

By Shuchi Kalra

So, you have a teen in school and a toddler in tow. Does that spell an end to your head-turning, traffic stopping days? Is your charm smothered by the every-day trivia of a woman's life? Is motherhood silently taking its toll on you? Do you secretly wish for you daughter's friends to tell her:"Wow! You have one gorgeous mommy"? Well, wake up to a new day as lost beauty is not too far away!

It does not take expensive spa visits and endless beauty treatments to "be beautiful". Just a nip here and a tuck there in your routine can help you transform into the diva you always wanted to be. Grooming and personal care is as important as being nice person at heart. Most women are so rushed up with jobs, homes, children and husbands, that they feel grateful even if they manage time to wash their faces! Looking and more importantly, feeling beautiful is crucial in a woman's quest for confidence and self-esteem. Moreover, a smart, well-turned out mom also inspires her brood to follow suit. Though they may not express this very often, kids love it when their mommy dresses up well, smells great and looks like she's on top of the world (that doesn't mean they don't love you otherwise!). By taking care of yourself, you are teaching your children the importance of self-grooming and presentation- a trait that goes a long way in shaping their future.

Let's dump "The Big Beauty Myth" of an hourglass figure, zero cellulite and flawless complexion in a trash-can and work towards a realistic and easily achievable goal. The mantra is - know yourself, accentuate your assets and hide your flaws.

Pamper Yourself Silly: take a welcome break from mollycoddling your children and pleasing your hubby and shower some attention on someone who deserves it most- yourself! Set out a "me-time" for your beauty and care regimen and be regular with cleansing, scrubbing, moisturizing and treating your skin. The aging process of our skin starts as early as mid-twenties- just when we think we are at the prime of youth! Spend those extra five minutes in the shower to file calluses and dead skin of your feet. Use home-made packs every now and then to rejuvenate your skin and hair, shave yourself smooth, slather on a fragrant lotion and come out looking and feeling like a million bucks. Don't hold yourself back; go get that wacky hairstyle you have been wanting for months. And yes, using a hair-color to cover gray's is officially a part of "aging gracefully"!

Eat Right: the phrase "fries lead to pimples" holds true for all ages. As years pass, the chips, pastries, cookies and junk begin to show up on our skin. Correct any diet anomalies and switch to a healthier diet with lots of fresh fruits and veggies, nuts, fiber and lean meat. Do include optimum amount of "good fats" and anti-oxidants to nourish and vitalize your skin, hair and nails. Psst...do you know how those celebs get that fresh glow and sparkling eyes? They drink loads and loads of water (At least that's what they all say!)

Tone-up: a wobbly belly is sure to give the blues to any lady. Work-up a feasible exercise routine (you could even pull in a friend for company) and shed those extra pounds. Remember- healthy is always beautiful. As you sweat out the adipose, your immunity gets a boost, your skin gets a flushed glow and you feel all the stress melting away. Easier said than done, isn't it? But think of the long list of benefits and what you will look like after a couple of months- healthy, slim, glowing.... Think! Think! Think!

If you Got It, Flaunt It: stay miles away from frumpy outfits that add pounds to your frame and make you look like a crumpled ruck-sack. On the other hand, avoid the temptation to pick stuff that is meant for teenagers. Shop for clothes that embrace your silhouette and in sync with your age. A neatly stitched and well-fitted dress can hardly go wrong. Flaunt your best assets- do you have sexy legs or shapely arms? A long elegant neck with collarbones that stand out? Wash-board abs or a toned-up posterior? It may be just about anything! Your clothes need not be revealing and tarty- just sophisticated and subtly sensuous. After years of experience, trial and error, we all know what looks best for us- just be honest to yourself while choosing an outfit. Try out hats, belts, unusual jewelery and scarves to spruce up your look.

Bring out the Vanity Case: we all have a box-full of make-up collecting mold in some corner of the closet. Choose a Sunday to throw away all that looks and smells bad and invest in good quality make-up that suits your age and skin type. Learn the art- with so many beauty magazines and television shows all over the place; this should be a piece of cake. Do not hesitate to use make-up at work or even on a short shopping trip. The right hues can really spark up your look and add dimensions to your features. Buff, shape and paint your nails to turn them into alluring talons. At the end of it, just spritz your favorite perfume on your pulse points and let the jaws drop.

Attitude Matters: slathering on tones of make-up and obsessing about appearances alone cannot make a woman feel beautiful. Go beyond "skin deep" and cultivate inner peace and harmony that would reflect on your face. A happy woman is a pretty woman and a smile is her best weapon! Spend your lone time with pleasant thoughts and memories and meditate if it helps.
Brush, floss, polish and flash those pearly whites whenever you get the chance. After all, a smiling face can never look less-than-pretty! So, are you all set to be a trophy-mama?

Hot Wax Hair Removal Compared to Laser Hair Removal

By Gary Clark

When it comes to hair removal, people will always look for the most effective one. This means a solution that gives near permanent results, with the least pain. It is not always possible, as the most effective hair removal will cause discomfort. Today's current popular methods of hair removal are, hot wax hair removal and laser hair removal.

The two methods have some very distinctive differences between them;

Hot waxing

Hot wax hair removal is cheap, and its effects last for a longer time than other temporary methods such as shaving. Another advantage of hot wax is that apart from removing the hair from the roots, it also lifts dead skin cells. This leaves the skin looking smooth and revitalized. Over time the hairs grow back thinner and lighter.

Hot waxing is not for everyone, and in some cases should be avoided. For instance, people suffering from diabetes should avoid waxing because it can cause the skin to break. This in turn can cause serious infection. People with sensitive skin may end up having bumps or ingrown hairs after waxing.

Laser Hair Removal

Generally, laser treatment is best when the individual's hair is darker than their skin color. Using laser hair removal on people with very dark skin is not ideal. This is because their skin absorbs to much light energy from the laser. This can cause tissue damage, and leave scaring to the skin. The same applies to people who are tanned and have light colored hair. Those who have dark hair but are sporting a dark tan should wait till their tan goes away.

Laser treatment can be very costly. One session can cost 500 dollars or more. If you are doing a large area of the body, you will need to have 3-5 sessions. This makes it very expensive in comparison to hot wax hair removal.

Very little study has been done and not enough is known about the long term effects of using lasers for hair removal. This makes it difficult for doctors to say with 100% certainty that the treatment is safe. What is known about laser hair removal is that it is not recommended for everyone.

In any case, you should make sure that you have a qualified practitioner to perform hair removal and to avoid any injury. Always use reputable companies who have experience in their field.

Eye Make-Up For Elegant Eyes

By Marilynn Syrett

If there is anything that can get you an instant facelift and enhance your appearance in just one minute, it has to be eye make up. Making up your eyes can pep up your face even if you are bereft of any make up otherwise.

This is perhaps the best kept secret in the beauty world or maybe it's the beloved trick of all women folk. Eyeliner can define your eyes and makes them more pronounced, while mascara gets you lush eyelashes that look dramatic against the face. A handy eye liner and mascara is found in almost every woman's pocket no matter how bereft they are from make up kits.

Most mascara come in a tube that has a brush within its tube. But nowadays, there are many variants coming up. Some have lengthened brush bristles while others have bristles made of finer materials. The Jan Marini Intervention Mascara is on of the hot picks of the season. It has conditioning agents that gets you natural looking eyelashes that are not only dark and long but are also conditioned to prevent any dryness or breakage. Moreover, it is smudge-proof so that you can afford to be a little careless with it on. Just sweep the brush from base to the tip of your eyelashes and get an evenly coated spread.

In addition to eyeliners and mascara, there are plenty of other things that you need to take care of for fresh looking eyes. You should use eyelash conditioners to soften the eyelashes and make them appear longer, thicker and fuller. RevitaLash eye conditioner is the best. Also, to keep the eye area healthy and wrinkle free, you can try using NeoCutis Lumiere Bio-restorative Eye Cream with PSP that soothes the aged and stressed skin around your eyes.

Here are some make up tips that will enhance your eyes:

For Deep Set Eyes

Shape your eyebrows in an arc shape and color them accordingly. Dab your eyelids with light shades and add a touch of highlighter above the crease line. Use black eyeliner to define the line of eyelids and apply loads of mascara to top it.

For Wide Set Eyes

Shape your eyebrows but keep them thick and long. Color them so that they look closer. Blend your eyeshades such that it appears dark towards the inner corner of the eye lid and fades towards the outer corner. Apply mascara such that eyelashes are darker inside and lighter towards the outside.

For Close Set Eyes

Shape your eyebrows such that they stand apart. The use of eyeshades should be just the opposite of that of wide set eyes. That is to say, a lighter shade be used in the inner corer and darkened towards the outsides. Use dark eyeliner and apply two coats of mascara both inside and outside.

For Glasses-Wearers

Glass wearers should be all the more concerned about how their eyes look because that's the even more prominent than otherwise. Select a glass shape that goes well with the shape of your face and shade your eyes with dark colors. Apply diligent coats of mascara.

The Glamour of a Day Spa

By Kristi Ambrose

What man or woman wouldn't love to take a day off and go to your local day spa to be pampered and spoiled? The services they provide these days are so fabulous. There is something for everyone and for every budget.

You can go to spend a lunch hour to just have a neck massage or maybe a manicure. Or you can go for a few hours or a full day and have a massage, manicure and pedicure. You can even go for a weekend and spend it in a beautiful country Inn where you are pampered to the max.

Although, that would be a several day spa!

These packages also make an amazing gift for someone special. Last year, I purchased an Ultimate Glamour Package for my mother at a local spa. She had the whole kit and caboodle and was extremely grateful. First, they had her change into a soft, cozy robe and slippers. She had a facial which included a facial steam to open the pores, followed by exfoliation of the face and neck. Treatment concluded with a therapeutic mask and hydrating moisturizer. The also did a complete make-up application but not until she was done with the other services. The other pampering included a very relaxing Swedish body massage followed by the application of hot stones, while they played very calming music in the background. She was then led to a room where they served her an Organic Strawberry and Almond Salad and a glass of Champagne. By the time they set her up to do a manicure and pedicure, she said it felt like she was in heaven.

There is not a city in the world that does not have a Spa within 15 miles. You can spend a day there for your own pleasure or you can get a gift certificate for any occasion to give to a loved one. I also know of girlfriends that have spent a day having themselves all primped for weddings or proms. The services can include; all hair services from a cut to extensions applied, permanent makeup applications, eyelash extensions, every massage imaginable, airbrush tanning or tanning booths. This is all in addition to the many usual services you will find at a spa such as the numerous facials, massages and nail packages.

I don't care what budget you are on or what luxury you are looking for, a day at a local spa is a fabulous way to spoil anyone. You can go online and find one near you or anywhere you are traveling. Just remember to leave all your troubles and worries at the door step and enjoy your day...you deserve it!

This author is a huge fan of LocalDaySpa.com website where you can watch 1000s of videos from different local day spas.

Herbal Medicine - The Perfect Solution to Stay Young and Beautiful

By Vanessa A. Doctor

The advent of technology has improved the ability of both men and women to maintain a young and beautiful look. There are plenty of methods available for your use, but not all of them might give you what you deserve.

Modern Beauty Treatment

You may see on television prominent individuals using synthetically-made cosmetics and modern surgical procedures to help maintain their youthful look. We often drool at the sight of their flawless skin without even considering the possible side-effects that they may have to endure to stay that way.

In truth, assorted cosmetic treatment methods today are very much lined with health risks that can pose of a problem if the person doesn't know about their possible effect to their body. For example, you can reduce the size of your breasts through cosmetics surgery to give you that leaner and natural look that every woman would die for. But this technique is full of problems during and after the treatment, such as the cost of the procedure and maintenance, discomfort on the operated area, possible infections, and so on.

If you want to avoid these problems in maintaining your youthful look, then you might want to start thinking about using herbal medicines as an alternative method in giving your body a whole new improvement

Using Herbal Products As Beauty Treatment

There are various herbal products that address the beauty needs of men and women today. In fact, these products use 100% natural ingredients that have no side-effects and complications when used.

The use of herbal beauty products is considered as an innovation and evolution in the world of fashion. Instead of enduring painful and expensive treatment, these natural beauty medicines will ensure that you get the perfect body you require without putting you at risk.

Even if this method is a bit slow compared to the instant result offered by modern medical methods, it is still a guarantee that the outcome will last for a very long time, or even permanent, if you follow the right instructions in using it.

But before you make use of this method, you might want to play it safe and consult your doctor, surgeon, or a dermatologist to determine the perfect herbal treatment method that will address your needs. Even if the product is made up of non-synthetic chemicals, we still won't know what the possible effects they would have on our body if used.

A Guide For Newbies Looking to Buy Mineral Makeup

By Jean Morgan

Mineral makeup has been gaining so much popularity for the past three decades and with this, more and more women are starting to see the benefits that mineral makeup can offer for their skin. However, buying mineral makeup is not just about choosing the right shade or finding the right color of eye shadow that will fit your mood.

Buying mineral makeup is quite a challenging task to carry out especially for the new users of this modern makeup trend because if you want to get the right mineral makeup for you, it
entails sufficient familiarity with the product and all of its ingredients.

Compare Different Mineral Makeup Brands

Before buying a mineral makeup, compare first the different brands available. All of these brands may claim to be the best for your skin care needs but be sure to start your comparison with the ones that your dermatologist may have recommended or perhaps try those that offer a few days of makeup trials to assure if they have the right features in their mineral makeup to suit your skin care demands.

Check On The Company's Refund Policy

It is also important to consider the refund policy of the cosmetic company where you are planning to buy the mineral makeup. Some mineral makeups can cost you quite a considerable amount of money so there should be an assurance for you that once you are unsatisfied of the results that the mineral makeup did for you, you must be refunded of the same amount you paid for when you were still at the point expecting the high quality results that you will be getting out of using their product.

This scheme is also a good way to check out the mineral makeup's effect on your skin and when it does not serve its purpose, definitely, it is not the right one for you.

Evaluate The Ingredients

Check out the label and evaluate the ingredients of the mineral makeup. This is an important step that you should not forget to do. There are some mineral makeup, even those that are already clinically tested, proven and recommended by dermatologists that still contain ingredients suspected to cause skin irritations and other skin problems. Some of these include talc, Ferric Ferrocyanide, Bismuth Oxychloride, parabens and other ingredients that should be avoided to prevent getting your skin damaged.

Be Aware Of Your Skin Tone

You should also be well aware of the skin tone that you have. Like other conventional chemical-based makeup, mineral makeup also comes in a wide variety of tones from the lightest to the darkest. If you already chose a brand where you will buy your mineral makeup, choose the shade or color that will best match your skin tone. Shades that are very light or very dark when applied on the skin will tend to create a mask-like effect which makes it obvious that you are wearing a makeup. It defeats the purpose of mineral makeup where you should be looking like you are not wearing any makeup at all.

By the time you get to know these things, you are already equipped to get the mineral makeup that is best for you. The mineral makeup industry is already one that is continually growing in size and thus, you would not have a hard time finding the one that you are looking for since you are already provided with a lot of retail options for you to choose from.

Visit Mineral Makeup Facts for more information about using mineral makeup to get a flawless finish and to buy mineral makeup products that are tried and tested. Mineral Makeup Facts has tutorials, articles and offers to guide you through buying and using mineral makeup

How Best to Wear Perfume

By Tommy Bland

The fragrance you use should be one that attracts people to you and not repel them. Therefore it is important that you use a perfume that complements your personality. If you use too strong scents or use inappropriate scents at the wrong times, you will be committing a mistake. You need to know how to select and wear the correct fragrances.

Making the Right Selection

You have to find a perfume that blends with your natural smell and enhances it. The fragrance should be such that it is subtle, but not overpowering. It should not keep people away from you, but near you. A good fragrance will add an extra dimension to your personality and give you confidence.

If you go to the perfume section of any store, you will be assailed by numerous scents. You will be able to use the testers on yourself to check them. You must test out the spray, but don't use one scent on top of another. Try out not more than two at a time. Give the perfume some time to settle and then smell it on your skin. If you have time, go elsewhere, and smell again to see how different it smells then. Then you will be able make a more objective decision and buy the right one.

Use each fragrance on your skin, by dabbing or spraying it. It should complement your normal body smells as well as the odors from your washed clothes, and other products you may use like shampoo, deodorant and make-up, each of which will smell different.

Even if you like the smell emanating from you after you've tried it on and waited the some time to get the final smell, try and wait for one day before buying it. After 24 hours you will learn how long it lasts, how it changes during the course of the day and if it causes any reaction like headache or skin problem.

The Right Way of Using Fragrance

There are right and wrong ways to enhance your fragrance. If you have dry skin, you will need to use more. If your skin is oily you can get away by using less because natural skin oil helps in making perfume last. If the weather is cold, then you will need to wear more because cold weakens the power of the fragrance. If a perfume smells good on someone else, it may no smell the same on you, because everybody's skin is different.

It is best to apply a fragrance just after bathing because that is when your skin will be soft and the pores will be open to absorb the smell. Try and use a bland or non-perfumed soap, because soaps and deodorants can affect the smell of the fragrance.

Apply perfume to pulse points where it will stay warm and also linger. These would be the inside of the elbow, of your wrist, neck, stomach, chest and the back of the knees.

The Wrong Way of Wearing Fragrance

Now that you how and when to use perfume, you should also know how not to use it. For example, many kinds of jewelry react to perfume and get discolored or spoilt. Costume or junk jewelry, pearls and other beads, metal jewelry can all get damaged with the alcohol or oil in the fragrance. If you must wear such ornaments, make sure you don't apply perfume over or around them.

Never stick to only one fragrance the whole year round. Try out different ones in different seasons. Hot weather calls for cooling fragrances while in cold weather you can use stronger fragrances. The intensity of the fragrance also varies with the weather temperature.

Contrary to popular belief, do not use perfume behind the ears where it can mix with natural skin secretions and not smell pleasant. And never spray or dab fragrance on clothes, especially light colored ones because it can discolor the fabric.

If you buy perfume via the Internet, you really ought to have used it before, or at least tried it out in a store near you to see if it suits you or not. The online shops have a wide variety of fragrances and often they cost less than the suggested retail price available at shops in a mall.

If you use the information given above, you will be able to find the ideal fragrance for yourself and attract people with your lovely smell.

Bland's nose is keenly aware of the scents worn by friends and co-workers. His two favorite perfumes to smell being worn are Juicy Couture perfume and Lacoste Touch Of Pink Perfume.

Illuminating Potential Issues With Prolonged Sun Exposure

By David Turok

The public's understanding of the dangers involved in sun exposure has increased enormously over the past few years, the result of a more intense focus on the issue by news media and the medical community's expanded screening efforts. Despite rising awareness, myths about sun exposure and year-round safety measures that should be taken still exist. These misunderstandings about skin protection can lead to unintentionally hazardous sun exposure.

Oftentimes, women make sure their children are covered in sunscreen but fail to make it a priority for themselves. Some cosmetics companies include sunscreen in moisturizers and foundations but the sun protection factor generally is low.

To keep skin healthy and safe and to help minimize the sun's escalating effect on fine lines and wrinkles, be aware of the consequences of exposure to ultraviolet rays by knowing the facts to protect your skin.

Sun Exposure Myths & Facts

Most people think that they only need to be concerned about skin protection in the summer. The problem with this thinking is that sun protection is essential all year long. Snow and ice are very efficient reflectors of ultraviolet rays and, compared to normal conditions, generate almost twice the risk of UV damage.

I have also heard people say that they are safe from UV exposure as long as they are not outside in the sun. This could not be further from the truth. Windows in your car or house do not provide protection. UV rays easily penetrate them.

Some also believe that they should sunbathe for an hour a day just to get enough vitamin D. However, studies indicate that 45 minutes of sun exposure daily to the face, neck and hands provides adequate production of vitamin D, and exposure during daily activities like walking the dog or exercising usually provide this amount.

Occasionally I have had patients tell me they think a base tan from a tanning bed is safe and will help avoid dangerous rays. The fact is you should stay away from tanning parlors and tanning equipment. Any exposure to UV rays adds to the risk of skin damage and cancer.

I have even heard some say that a single sunburn will only minimally increase their risk of developing skin cancer. In fact, one blistering sunburn doubles the risk of melanoma, so sun bathing should be avoided.

Tips for Protecting Your Skin

Stay out of the sun between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when UV rays are most intense. Cover up with a broad-brimmed hat, long sleeves and sunglasses that block UV rays. Most important of all, apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 15, even when it's cloudy. Don't forget to apply it to commonly missed areas, such as ears, nose and top of your feet. Sun-sensitive individuals should look for even greater protection and use products like a good SPF 65 that provides full-spectrum protection by blocking both UVA and UVB.

It's Not too Late to Reverse Some Sun Damage

If you already have spots, wrinkles or visible blood vessels from sun exposure, a number of skin treatments are available to reduce the appearance of these skin irregularities. Traditional techniques involve chemical peels, dermabrasion or lightening creams, all of which destroy the epidermis to different degrees. New technology, however, is safe, non-invasive, uses pulsed light and radiofrequency waves, and serves to stimulate collagen repair lessening the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

A treatment commonly referred to as skin rejuvenation combines revitalizing energy-based skin rejuvenation with alternating treatments of microdermabrasion for safe, rapid skin renewal. The system targets skin irregularities while stimulating new collagen production, helping to eliminate freckles and sun spots and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The treatment is quick and painless.
There is no need for any needles or anesthesia, the spots rarely return, and the risk of scarring is very minimal. My patients who have received skin rejuvenation treatments have seen great results in reversing damage done to skin due to prolonged exposure to the sun.

To protect yourself, learn all the facts about sun exposure. Be aware that UVA waves are present year-round, from sunrise to sunset. Know that prevention is always easier than trying to reverse the damage. You'll look and feel healthier when you keep your family and yourself protected from damaging UV rays.

By taking a short amount of time to apply sunscreen every day, you can save time and money in the future by taking steps to prevent skin and health issues related to sun exposure.

Hair Removal Methods - Which is Effective and Easiest?

By Maverick Jensen

When it comes to removing hair, there are various methods to choose from. A few are temporary and a few are permanent. Removing unwanted hair is definitely a Herculean task. Let us look at various options that are available for removing hair and judge the effectiveness of each one in this article.

Method 1: Very few people who can bear the pain will choose to go for this hair removal method, which is, waxing. Wax is applied along with a strip of cloth on the area where there is hair and is then peeled off once the wax is cooled. This also yanks out the hair from the follicle root and all. Pain factor is 8.Go for this method only if you are certain that you can withstand pain. No matter what anyone tells you this one method does pack a sting. It is over with in a moment, but it can make you yell the first time it happens. More and more of the men are beginning to get into waxing procedures in order to have a smooth body. They have their chests and backs waxed typically.

Method 2: The latest hair removal method is using lasers. This method is definitely effective and you do get permanent relief from any unwanted hair. A tiny laser beam is applied to the area that is covered with unwanted hair and the heat from the directed beam will manage to destroy the hair root and this will prevent the hair from growing again. The laser treatment is tedious and done in small areas at a time. Many will not be able to go for this method as it is very expensive. If you choose to do this it is a very safe and permanent manner of dealing with hair removal. This may soon become the gold standard of hair removal due to its ease and success.

Method 3: Another method is shaving. Here, foam or any other gel is applied to the skin and the hair is removed with the help of a razor. Even though it is the cheapest method, shaving has to be done every alternative day. If this is not possible, try at least twice a week. The shaved hair readily grows back and as the ends of the hairs are now blunted from being shaved instead of having a tapered end, it will seem as though you have more hair than ever when it grows back after you have started shaving.

Method 4: One of the best and easiest methods of hair removal is the usage of hair removal creams such as Revitol. You just have to apply the hair removal cream on the hair covered areas, leave it for the time mentioned in the pack and rinse it with water. Very simple-and no pain involved in this process. Hair removal creams do not cost you a fortune. They are cheaper and definitely a better method for removing unwanted hair. You may have to use it once a month or twice a month depending on the hair growth.

Revitols hair removal cream is now rated as the number one hair removal cream on the market.
They achieved this by producing a product that works, it does what the customer wants. They have a proven track record with great customer care, best prices and products that work.

Are you looking for the best hair removal product to make removing hair easy and pain free.
Revitol have the number one hair removal cream on the market. If you are interested in quick and pain free hair removal visit Revitols Hair Removal Cream.

Benefits of Organic Shampoo - Get Amazing Results!

By Kris Altesino

Most of us are aware of the fact that things which are organic are much better for us than the typical commercial products. This is because many of the products that you pick up at the store are going to have a variety of different chemicals in them which are bad for you. This is not only the case whenever you are eating food, it is also the case when you are using cosmetic products, such as shampoo. Although most of us would tend to use an organic shampoo because of the lack of chemicals in it, there are plenty of benefits of organic shampoo that would help to make your decision to use it. Here are a few of those benefits.

First of all, organic shampoo is not going to have a lot of the chemicals that are found in many of the commercial products at the store. The only thing that these commercial products have is a large advertising budget behind them. Unfortunately, a lot of what they say is not all that true and they may help you to have shiny hair but it certainly is not going to be healthy. The only way for you to have a truly healthy hair is to use an organic shampoo. By getting rid of the chemicals that are typically put on your hair through commercial shampoos, you are going to give it a healthy glow from the inside out.

Another one of the benefits of organic shampoo is that you will be helping to save the environment. Even some of the commercial shampoos that do not necessarily use a bunch of chemicals may use items in their ingredients which have chemicals added to them. These chemicals are typically added in the field and this can not only destroy the Earth, it can also do a lot of damage to the wildlife in the area. By using something that is organically based, you're going to be helping the environment in a number of different ways.

There are several other benefits of organic shampoo which can be found at naturalorganicshampoo.com. But these two should be enough to convince anybody that it is really the only thing that you should be using to wash your hair. Not only will you have healthy, silky hair, you are also going to be benefiting the rest of your body and the environment around you by not adding unnecessary chemicals where they do not belong.

Lavender Lotion Or Bath Salt

By Ian Pennington

Lavender lotion or bath salt is one of the most soothing of scents, calming and relaxing for the body, particularly during the evening hours. Lavender lotion or bath salts are among the more gentle of the natural or essential oils and can be used by adults who are unable to use other types of natural oils, as well as being gentle enough to be used even on your infant.

Bathing before bed in a lavender based product is so relaxing in fact that several companies have begun making these products for very young children and babies, in an effort to promote restful sleep for them.

Lavender lotion or bath salt is quite often used by those who cannot sleep, to help them to gain a good nights sleep using the aroma therapy that has become so popular in recent years.

Lavender also holds the distinction of being one of the herbs with the least likelihood of provoking an allergic reaction and as such can be relatively safe to use even for those who have allergic reactions to some of the more popular batch products. Lavender lotion or bath salt will provide relaxation and restful sleep when used in small amounts, however when it is used in larger amounts it tends to be a stimulant so you will need to be careful how much of the essential oils that you use in your bath.

Lavender essential oils can also be used in cleaning, offering a natural method of low residue cleaning because it is both antibacterial as well as gentle and natural. For this reason, lavender lotion or bath salt can be used by those who have skin problems and are not able to use other varieties of bath oils in their method of low residue cleaning.

For this reason, lavender lotion or bath salt can be used by those who have skin problems and are not able to use other varieties of bath oils in their bath water or as a shower gel. It is quite easy to make your own lavender lotion or bath salts simply by adding several drops of the food grade or pure essential oils to mineral salts such as dead sea salts which are furnished in specialty or hobby store, and stirring it, leaving it for several days to permit the fragrance to seep into the mineral salts. Likewise you can make a mild lavender lotion by using an unscented baby lotion and adding one or two drops of lavender essential oil. Be careful how much of the oils you add as they are quite concentrated.

Get a Body Lift to Lose the Loose Skin

By A Aaronson

Losing all that weight is wonderful, but there's just one problem, the skin remains! Sure, you can freak people out at parties by pulling your neck skin over your face, but aside from that, there's nothing great about having lots of extra flesh hanging about. That is why the plastic surgeons of the world have offered us a great way to take care of the leftover skin - Body Lift Surgery.

A body lift doesn't involve a cherry picker, a mechanic's garage or a magician. It is a fairly simple plastic surgery procedure that tightens and tweaks tissue until it is just right. With this surgery, you can make your physique new, slim and perfect.

Let It All Hang Out
Strange things happen after you lose a lot of weight. You'll notice folds, saggy places and loose tissue you never thought you had. For many, this discovery makes them feel disillusioned and disappointed with their weight loss. After all, you lost all that weight in order to get a tighter, firmer skin, so what happened?

Of course, after extreme weight loss, you should maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle, so that the weight stays off. Body lift surgery is not about getting rid of fat. That's what liposuction is for.
This procedure targets the excess skin and tissue that is left after the fat is gone.

Types Of Body Lift Surgery
Body lift surgery isn't really one surgical procedure, but a combination of small operations. It's like a physical improvement extra value meal. What all body lifts have in common is that they read just the tissue underneath the skin and around the muscles to give natural tightness. These are the areas that get saggy and droopy after you lose a lot of weight. Where does the tissue have to go?

The most common version of the body lift is the Belt Lipectomy, or lower body lift. This is a combination of a tummy tuck, abdominoplasty, thigh and butt lift. The idea is to reshape the lower part completely, so that you get rid of all the left over baggage. The main area targeted with this procedure is the "apron" that wraps around your thighs from front to back and all around.

The type of anesthesia used by the doctor can depend. Some will use a local anesthesia to make you more comfortable, while some doctors will recommend intravenous anesthesia. During your consultation, you should talk to the doctor about this issue, and they will decide what they think is best. Most patients go home on the same day. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully after the operation, in order to minimize the risk of infection. Although it's a relatively minor procedure, it is still surgery and you should take it seriously.

You will notice the change immediately. There will be some scars, but the results of this treatment will last for the rest of your life. Sometimes the results are not immediately visible, and over time patients begin to notice a new firmness and toned appearance. Although your physique naturally changes as you get older, body lift is not an operation where patients end up going back again for another one.

This surgery will make you feel like your weight loss is complete. Finally, you can have the firm, toned and slim body that you've been waiting for.

Boston plastic surgeon performs various plastic surgery procedures like body lift to give you a more contoured look by clearing the extra loose skin and tissues hanging around, after you've lost weight. Consult the expert to get it done. For more details visit them at http://www.drmossthebeautyboss.com/.
