The Brazilian Wax - First Time Urban Myths

By Janine Summerset

Forget what you've heard about first time waxes, the grueling pain, huge slabs of fleshy wax and pubic hair removed and the horror screams coming from beauty salons across the country.
Why? Well, they're simply not true and are really more of an urban myth.

The truth is you like millions of other women out there are confidently leaping into the final frontier of beauty perfection. If you're spending big money on your hair, skin, gym visits and tanning, you can't leave your neither regions to chance either.

You can bet your 'competition' has already discovered this little secret, isn't it about time you did too? You'll need to at least 'tidy up' downstairs, or the new man in your life really may think he's really in a horror movie!

So, your Brazilian appointments booked...

You found your nearest salon online, or asked a close friend where she gets hers done, and the $50 in your purse will soon buy you something unusual if you're new to body treatments of this kind. And I promise its value will buy you thousands more in the bedroom once you're finished.
(The reason, the Brazilian wax was recently voted by men as the sexiest waxing style on women)

Then you enter the salon, and soon meet your professionally trained and experienced beauty therapist. Never go to a dodgy looking salon and always try and get a reference or recommendation first.

You'll be asked to remove your clothing below the waist and may be offered disposable underwear. This depends a little on the Brazilian wax style you choose. More basic style allow underwear to be worn, others require full access to remove all the hair.

It's up to you if you go 'all-off' first - not what I'd recommend as the pain may be a little too much to get used to in one hit.

Better to try one of the basic waxes first and see what pain relief options are available at the salon. Best to call up beforehand and see what they can offer, this way you can check to see if they're suitable for your health needs as well.

The rest is pretty straight forward really, it's just waxing, but 'down there'.

Your beautician is professionally trained so she should know all the tips and tricks to ensure you get a great result, with minimal discomfort, every time.

Follow the instructions given to you at the salon about post-waxing and the things to do (and not do) between salon visits.

I'm sure you'll love your new look - I should know, I've helped thousands of women wax for the first time over the years and I never tire of hearing how it's changed their lives.

Then, hit the town, enjoy your newfound confidence for a whole month before your next visit - it may be one of the best months of your life!

To your waxing success,
Janine
