Why Are You So Obsessed With Cellulite?
By Paula Penn
That's assuming you are not a prodigy toddler reading this article, or a teenager, you may be in that "luckiest" part of the population that recognize the word: cellulite, but are yet to show any interest in how to get rid of it. Then there's you and me and everyone you know, or probably will ever meet. Most women who have that recognized on sight rough terrain, dimpled, dare I say: "cottage cheese" like skin who are hoping to find an answer for the targeted cellulite we keep trying to get rid of.
Mind you, as I see it, it's not fair. Of course, you haven't directly done anything to have inherited your cellulite accumulation, right? The reality is definitely a problem. You've realized your hips, "love handles", the nave of your back, upper leg, also spots of you from head to toe, that are not normally susceptible to cellulite, but as you already know, have indeed been weighing on your thoughts for some time, now and enough is enough, you want to take the necessary actions to get back in control.
Perhaps you are as slim as a rail, brag to anybody who will give you the time of day about the enormous quantity of food you normally eat without a care in the world, completely free of any thought that even one, discouraging pound to be gained as a result. Despite such advantages you are not out of the reach of cellulite. Perhaps you even exercise, have no signs of trouble right now, and follow a strict, good for you diet, and yet cellulite could care less, and it is almost inevitable it will be showing up like thunderstorms during a baseball game. Not welcome, of course. How to get rid of cellulite is a decades old riddle that thousands of people will wisely choose their words, and pull their teeth just to bribe you of the miracle in a box, package or toothpaste like tube that displays outrageous claims in its marketing, promising to eliminate your cellulite blemishes without any work.
Such things upset me.
Truth be told, cellulite, at least how you and I think of it, those fatty areas found on our body that we wish would disappear, hardly any of the "big promises" in stores and online are worth the real results, hidden in the fine print.
There are thousands of cellulite eliminating products being promoted currently. And those who tell you to avoid one, only to try another, often have a direct hand in your potential sale. That kind of information that is looking out for you.
You'd think they'd lighten up, but they keep pouring it on, saying that this is the way of getting rid of cellulite: anti-cellulite creams, cellulite exercises, cellulite treatments claiming to have all benefits of Botox - - but without the drawbacks or side effects, infrared cellulite therapy, wear anti cellulite shirts, cellulite removal via lasers that go deep within, alternative cellulite treatments certain to have you driving yourself batty with the weird stuff you're told to slather on your skin, has just one goal in mind: to get you to buy into what they're selling.
Perhaps you have fallen hook, line and sinker for an oh so compelling testimonial, newspaper article that appeared to look like a real story, before and after photograph as all the proof they think you will need that what they "ironically" are selling works - - And guess what? - - it sheds: fat, cellulite, cottage cheese, or "insert your favorite cellulite nickname here", or so they keep telling you and me.
Don't despair. Perhaps I can do some good, and cut out cellulite myths and the complete nonsense, before this cellulite conundrum gets the best of good intentioned people just looking for some facts. Stop being obsessed with cellulite.
Being a woman who once did not care about cellulite, she consumed what she wanted, but stayed healthy with routine, diet and a demanding workout routine that includes: jogging, weights and swimming. But those times have come and gone, today is what she focuses on.
Paula saw that she had developed a bit of cellulite, started to investigate the truth and lies about cellulite with concentrated focus, obsessed with cellulite, some say. What she found was not just disappointing, but a complete let down in many cases. She is currently on a course, a mission sick and tired of these cellulite treatments offline and on out, about and everywhere.

Natural Way To Flatten And Reduce The Appearance Of Varicose Veins And Spider Veins
By Francine Davidovich
Do you suffer from varicose veins, those abnormally swollen or enlarged bluish veins, protruding out from the surface of the skin which occur primarily in the legs? Do you experience leg pain in varying degrees or have knotty lumps forming along the veins? You can flatten and reduce varicose veins naturally.
Spider veins are similar to varicose veins but are smaller, closer to the surface of the skin (do not bulge out like varicose veins), can be red or blue, and look like spider webs (with short jagged lines). They appear on the legs, but can also appear on other parts of the body, especially the face.
Varicose veins are created by a lack of circulation (reduced blood flow) from the lower extremities (legs, feet) to the heart. Causes of varicose veins can vary, but the primary cause is weight-bearing; usually excessive or long periods of weight bearing. Anyone who is over-weight, stands for long periods without adequate rest, or carries or lifts heavy articles is especially prone to developing varicose veins.
Genetics can also play a role in these developing veins. If your mother or father has had a problem with their veins you will have a strong tendency towards developing them. Pregnancy, obesity and hormones are all contributing factors that aggravate the problem.
To shrink varicose veins, physicians often use injected drugs or surgery to remove them. These drugs offer only temporary relief. At worst, complications and side effects can arise from surgery and adverse body reactions can arise from drugs. Surgery and drugs should only be resorted to in severe situations upon the recommendations of qualified experts.
In less severe situations or mild conditions where surgery is not necessary or indicated, there are more natural (and less drastic) methods of treatment. The following are ways in which you can flatten or reduce the appearance of varicose veins:
increase circulation - by exercise and massage using stimulating natural creams and lotions.
tighten and flatten varicose veins with creams containing essential oils and herbs that tighten and heal tissue.
reduce weight bearing by losing excess weight, handling less heavy articles and reduce activities that put excessive strain on the legs.
wear elastic stockings or bandages to support the vein with steady pressure.
use safe and natural products on veins
Treatment for spider veins
Spider veins on the legs have the same primary causes as varicose veins and can be treated naturally in the same ways, concentrating on exercise, increasing circulation in the area with massage and lotions, healing the tissues with creams and lotions, and with less weight bearing.
Spider veins on the face are primarily caused by excessive sun exposure, drying the skin and impeding circulation. Use sunscreen and facial moisturizers for your skin type to prevent spider veins from forming on facial areas.
Use natural herbs and oils to reduce spider and varicose veins: Moisturizers such as apricot kernal oil, olive oil, shea butters olive oil and rosewater. These are safe, yet powerful. Healing herbs and vitamins such as calendula and vitamin E. Pure Essential Oils such as lemon, cypress, geranium, yarrow, myrhh and camomile
Do you have tired legs?
Prevent and treat leg tiredness and swelling. Proper treatment improves and maintains leg vein health and prevents the tendency for legs to swell due to poor circulation, pressure or exertion.
Use a stimulating and effective treatment that can be massaged into the legs prior to being on your feet or standing for prolonged periods of time. Protect your legs against tiredness, discomfort, heaviness and painful muscles.
Increase blood flow, circulation and energize your legs. Relieve leg cramps while you silken your legs. Use natural herbs and oils on legs: Moisturizers such as apricot kernal oil, coconut oil, rosewater; and grapefruit extract and shea butter. These are safe, yet powerful. Healing herbs and vitamins such as black pepper, horse chestnut, gingko, comfrey, prickly ash, calendula and vitamin E. Pure Essential Oils such as lavender, yarrow, myrhh and camomile.
Always read labels before purchasing. The most popular creams may contain toxic ingredients.
Protect your legs and your vein health by choosing all natural leg cream and lotions.

Making Perfume with Essential Oil
By Tawne Bachus
The beautiful balance of a musical harmony is created by blending a combination of notes and chords. Perfume is no different. It is also produced by combining a beautiful harmony of notes, which are used to create a chord. A perfume chord is created through the combination of notes or individual essential oils. Unlike music, the notes used to produce perfume are made up of essential oils. The four categories of essential oil notes that combine to form perfume are:
· top (or head) note, which is described as the first recognizable scent that evaporates in short time. These essential oils are typically refreshing and mentally stimulating. Commonly found in this category are bergamot, lemon, lime, orange, fern, dill, thyme, tarragon, fennel, parsley, water cress, chervil, onion, chives and the fruit oils, like peach.
· middle (or heart) note, also referred to as the main note, describes the main or dominant scent. On a paper, scent strip, this scent will retain its character for 8 to 10 hours. These essential oils are typically flowery or spicy scents that may promote emotional balance. Commonly found in this category are geranium, lemongrass, nutmeg, neroli, jasmine, rose, ylang-ylang, oregano, pepper, rosemary, cumin, sage, marjoram and coriander.
· bottom (or base) note, also referred to as the dry-out scent, describes the scent that remains after all other scents have evaporated. On a paper scent strip, this scent may last for several months. These essential oils are typically sweet and earthy scents that may promote inner strength and a sense of grounding. Commonly found in this category are amber, cedar wood, cinnamon, patchouli, sandalwood, fir, pine, juniper and vetiver.
· bridge note, may be added to help the other three notes blend together. Two commonly used bridge notes are lavender and vanilla.
An essential oil is typically categorized as a top, middle or bottom note, depending upon the rate with which an essential oil evaporates. Every essential oil evaporates at a different speed. In a perfume, as different essential oils begin to evaporate, the fragrance of the perfume changes. Because of this, it is important to remember which essential oils fit into each category of note.
Before beginning to create a signature fragrance, a few things must be noted. First, it is important to begin mixing oils in a room that is as odorless, well ventilated and free from drafts. Second, several tools should be collected. The following list will help you get started:
· 1 (one) packet of absorbent, paper, scent strips
· 1 (one) 100 ml mixing beaker
· 1 (one) 100 ml bottle of alcohol (pure grain)
· 1 (one) 10 ml spray bottle
· 1 (one) glass stir rod
· 1 (one) 3 ml glass bottle with cap
· 1 (one) 4 ml glass perfume bottle with glass wand applicator
· Various essential oils
To make a signature fragrance, you must decide which specific essential oils and which notes are preferred. The next step is to determine the concentration of each oil and note.
Mix at least 25 drops of essential oils, combining essential oils from the three main note categories (top, middle and bottom). You may want to start with one main scent and use larger amounts of that one particular scent or you may want to combine an even mix of oils from all three notes.
The fragrance levels combined will ultimately determine the type of finished product you will have.
· Perfume is 15 to 30% essential oil and 70 to 85% alcohol and water. Of the 70 to 85% alcohol and water combination, 90 to 95% is alcohol and the remaining 5 to 10% is water.· Eau de Perfume is 8 to 15% essential oil and 85 to 92% alcohol and water. Of the 85 to 92% alcohol and water combination, 80 to 90% is alcohol and the remaining 10 to 20% is water.·
Eau de Toilette is 4 to 8% essential oil and 92 to 96% alcohol and water. Of the 92 to 96% alcohol and water combination, 80 to 90% is alcohol and the remaining 10 to 20% is water.
· Eau de Cologne is 3 to 5% essential oil and 95 to 97% alcohol and water. Of the 95 to 97% alcohol and water combination, 70% is alcohol and the remaining 30% is water.
· Cologne Splash is 1 to 3% essential oil and 97 to 99% alcohol and water. Of the 97 to 99% alcohol and water combination, 80% is alcohol and the remaining 20% is water.
Regarding the alcohol, it is important to use odorless alcohol. The most desired form of alcohol that could be used is ethanol. However, ethanol is often extremely difficult to find and even more difficult to purchase. The second most desired form of alcohol is known as "special denatured" (sd) alcohol. This form of alcohol has certain odorless additives that cannot be consumed. Unfortunately, this form of alcohol may also prove to be very difficult to obtain. In the absence of ethanol and sd alcohol, Retail liquor stores and retail liquor departments provide suitable solutions. For the purpose of perfume making, it is important to use alcohol with the least amount of odor and the highest percentage of alcohol.
Three solid options are Everclear (190 proof or 90% pure alcohol), Bacardi 151 (151 proof or 75.5% pure alcohol) and vodka (100 proof or 50% pure alcohol).
To help speed the measuring of essential oil, alcohol and water, the following guidelines may be used
· 300 drops of water = 1 tbs. or 15 ml
· 100 drops of water = 1 tsp. or 5 ml
· 25 drops of water = 0.25 tsp. or 1.25 ml
· 20 drops of water = 0.20 tsp. or 1 ml
Please keep in mind that these approximate measurements were prepared using water. When measuring thinner essential oils you may find that a 1 ml pipette actually contains 40 drops and when measuring the thicker alcohols and essential oils expect to measure out fewer drops per 1 ml.
Make a signature scent as unique as the individual wearing it and know that it is one of a kind.

Alternatives To Cosmetic Surgery
By Joshua Berkowitz
While it is true that beauty is only skin deep and it is the person "inside" who is most important, we are all being judged constantly on how we look and dress. Most people, especially in competitive work and social environments want to look as youthful as possible for as long as possible to enhance their prospects of success. There is a rapidly growing trend in most western countries to accept cosmetic procedures. In surveys 80% of women feel they would have a cosmetic procedure if the treatment were safe, effective and subtle, so that it was not obvious to the observer.
Cosmetic surgery, once the domain of only the rich and famous, is now commonplace. However many people see cosmetic surgery as a step-too-far and prefer to seek effective alternatives.
There is therefore a popular range of effective safe therapies as alternatives to cosmetic surgery. For rejuvenation of the skin surface there are treatments like chemical peels and microdermabrasion to enhance the aura and skin glow. These treatments can chemically or mechanically remove the uppermost skin layers, increase cell turnover and stimulate collagen and elastin production. Microdermabrasion and chemical peels both help to improve the healthof the skin, and can remove or diminish fine lines, and many brown and/or red skin blemishes.
The microdermabrasion and peels can be combined with mesotherapy to further enhance the skin tone. Mesotherapy ensures a good supply of vitamins and minerals and other micro-nutrients to the skin. Mesotherapy also promotes proper skin hydration.
Chemical peels are of varying strengths and nature and should be carefully chosen appropriate to the patient skin type and aims of the treatment. Chemical peels, microdermabrasion and mesotherapy can be used singly or in harmony to treat and enhance not only the face but also the neck, hands and the de collete.
Whilst much attention is lavished on the face, the body too can be rejuvenated using the VelaSmooth cellulite machine to smooth away cellulite and the SmartLipo laser lipolysis system to literally and safely melt away stubborn deposits of fat. The VelaSmooth machine (from Syneron) is an FDA approved system to reduce the appearance of cellulite. The VelaSmooth treatment requires a course of a dozen sessions to restore the smoothness and appearance of cellulite. The SmartLipo laser is able to simply and methodically remove specific fat deposits with complete accuracy and reliability. The procedure should be carried out by a trained medical doctor in a specially prepared operating theatre. The Healthcare Commission should have specifically inspected and passed the theatre as being fit for purpose. Patients are strongly advised to avoid having Smart Lipo laser lipolysis in less than suitable premises. Patients should check if the theatre that they are offered has been specifically inspected and passed for the Smartlipo procedure.
So why not consider alternatives to cosmetic surgery, especially if they are really effective? If you still can’t make up your mind, go to any aesthetics center like Wimpole Aesthetics where you can get good advices.

Mommy Makeover Cosmetic Surgery Rising Dramatically
By Allan Parungao, MD
Moms willingly make sacrifices for their children -- but now their youthful figure doesn’t have to be one of them. A Mommy Makeover can restore a woman’s pre-pregnancy figure, and give her self-confidence a lift as well.
According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, more than 325,000 tummy tuck, breast implant and breast lift procedures were performed on women ages 20-39 in 2006. This represents an 11% increase in "Mommy Makeover" procedures over 2005 statistics, and is more than five times higher than the 2% overall growth in cosmetic surgery procedures during that one-year period.
What is a Mommy Makeover?
A Mommy Makeover is a combination of plastic surgery procedures to rejuvenate a woman's figure after pregnancy, childbearing and breastfeeding. Depending on a woman's needs, her Mommy Makeover may include a breast lift and/or breast implants, a tummy tuck, liposuction and even an eyelid lift or facelift.
The most common complaints among women who have had children are sagging breasts or loss of breast volume, and stretch marks and/or loose skin over the abdomen. Today, even women who had never thought about plastic surgery are having Mommy Makeovers.
"I never used to understand why anyone would spend money on plastic surgery," admits Rachel, age 34, a mother of two. "But when a friend who had a tummy tuck and a breast lift came over one day and I saw the results, I thought again!
"I wanted to get something done for my saggy stomach," Rachel recalls. Then she thought about the unevenness in her breasts after breastfeeding and said to herself, "If I’m going to get a tummy tuck, I may as well get my breasts done, too."
Rachel had a tummy tuck and breast implant surgery, and is thrilled with the results. "I was a B cup in one breast and a C cup in the other," she says. "Now I’m a firm D. And it’s incredible how flat my tummy is!"
When is the right time for a Mommy Makeover?
Some women choose to have several procedures done at the same time. Others prefer to have separate procedures eight to 12 weeks apart. It's advisable to wait at least six months after giving birth before having plastic surgery. Nursing moms should wait six months after their baby is weaned.
Feel like you did before you had kids
Patient satisfaction with Mommy Makeover surgery is especially high. After a Mommy Makeover, women are thrilled as their jeans fit better, their breasts are more beautiful and they look in the mirror and see the figure they had before children.
In Rachel's case, it was a matter of realizing what was important to her. "I realize now that different things make different people happy," she explains. "For me, it wasn’t clothes, it wasn’t jewelry, it wasn’t vacations. I have to be happy with myself first, and now I am.
"For the rest of my life, I’ll always be a mom and I’ll always have to put my children first," Rachel concludes. "A Mommy Makeover is the one thing in my life I had to do just for me. And I don’t think that was too much to ask for."

Get Gorgeous in 5 Minutes
By Vidula Chopra
Most women go through life with looks bordering on average, never realizing their true potential.
Then on the other hand there are those women who do take time out to apply make-up, but somehow they don't reach their beauty peak. They just don't get it right!
It may come as a surprise to know that you could look at least 40 percent better than you do, if you take the time, and make the effort.
Here are a few tips to get you looking your gorgeous best.
Apply foundation
Not only does foundation even out your skin tone making you look fresher, it also protects your skin from the heat, dust and pollution. Mix your foundation with a drop or two of water, or better still, apply it with a damp sponge, so doesn't coat your face heavily. Foundation should be completely invisible.
Target lips or eyes, not both
There should be one area of focus on the face: lips, or eyes. Either apply a heavy eyeliner, or a dark lipstick, not both. Indian women usually have beautiful eyes, so make the most of them by lining them with kohl and layering on the eye shadow.
Apply mascara
Apply a quick coat of mascara to your upper and lower lashes. It opens up your eyes and makes them stand out some more.
Thread your brows
If you think you do not need to thread your eyebrows, think again. Clean, sharply defined brows really bring out your eyes, so if you have never threaded them, it is time you started. Keep a tweezer handy so you can clean them between threading sessions.
Stay away from bright colours during the day
Save those blood red and maroon lipsticks for after nightfall, and stick to pastels or neutral shades during the day. Light pinks and glosses look great in the day.
Get rid of fuzz
It never fails to amaze me when I see women walking around sprouting a moustache, when getting rid of upper-lip hair is so easy. Always, always remove fine hair on your upper lip, by waxing or threading it off. You could bleach it too, but this does not leave as neat a result as waxing or threading does. Similarly, if you have hair under your chin, remove it. If you have very few hair on your chin, pluck it instead of threading it.
Wax or shave regularly, to get rid of all unwanted body hair.
Groom your hair
Wash your hair three times a week to keep it clean and healthy. If your hair is dry and damaged, wash it less often, perhaps just once a week depending upon the extent of damage.
Keep frizzies at bay by applying a frizz-ease, or by applying 2-3 drops of oil to wet hair. Choose a hairstyle that complements your face cut, and trim it regularly.
Untidy hair draws from your looks, so keep a brush handy.
Experiment, experiment
Dont be afraid to experiment.
Keep trying out different looks and hairstyles. Youll never know what looks good till you try it out. Checking out hairstyles on your photograph on some computer screen isnt as good as the real deal. You have to get out there and try it out for real.
Don't stick to a look
So you found a great hairstyle or lipstick shade, and feel that this is THE one for you. Well, you could be surprised. Maybe it looks good, but then again, maybe you still have to stumble upon something that looks better! So even if you are happy with your present look, after a while, opt for a change.

The Race To Being Beautiful
By Grace Parry
Beauty; is it a word, a meaning or just an expression? Or is it something much deeper than that; is it a pressure, a constant nag and a way of life?
Ok, so what exactly does the word beauty mean? The Cambridge dictionary defines it as being the quality of being pleasing, especially to look at, or someone or something that gives great pleasure, so does this mean that beauty brings pleasure to us all. No. Not in the slightest. These days, we can not look at a beautiful person without feeling that slight pinch on arm. That’s right, the green eyed monster. In many cases, seeing a beautiful person can lead to pleasure, but in others, it leads to the feeling of jealousy and pain, a reminder that we ourselves are not pleasing to the eye.
But why do we feel the need to envy those graced with beautiful faces, figures and all round personalities? Should we all not feel beautiful in ourselves? The truth is, once we feel some sort of pressure or stress in our lives, we tend to fall behind in the beauty race. Kerry, 19, has just started college. She says, “I used to love getting ready for a night out with the girls, even if we only went for a meal. I would have my bath and get ready like any other girl my age, and for some reason, it was so fun. I would feel so good about myself, but since starting college, there’s just no time for that now. I see all my old friends, still looking as gorgeous as ever on their nights out, and to be honest it just makes me feel ugly!” Kerry puts all her time in to her studies that she doesn’t have her nights out anymore, but why should she have to stop feeling beautiful?
There has to be something that a busy girl can fit into her schedule to make her feel gorgeous.Kerry says her friends all have jobs, but they still have to feel beautiful, so why doesn’t she?
Does this mean that a girl has to make herself up in order to feel sexy? No. There are other options. Heidi, 21, works full-time as a receptionist. She works long hours 5 days a week, spends most of her time with her boyfriend, and still has time to feel beautiful. “I know that I do work hard, and I have less time for myself than I used to, but I don’t let this stop me from feeling sexy once in a while. Before I go to bed I like to put on moisturiser, my soft skin makes me feel beautiful. I also like to spray a little perfume in my hair each morning so I smell beautiful. I don’t usually wear much make-up but my lip-gloss smile makes me look beautiful”
So is the secret to feeling beautiful, all in the little things. Maybe all Kerry needs to do is take a few minutes each day to make her feel beautiful, and she would still have time for her college work. “Taking a few minutes each day to treat myself makes me forget about the pressures of work and life in general. Feeling sexy can help me have faith in myself to get things done”, says Heidi.
Both Kerry and Heidi treat beauty as a small aspect of their lives, they do not let is overtake everything they do. However, some people do. Some people let the idea of beauty and looking gorgeous become the most important thing in their lives. Take Jordan for example, she has become one of the world richest females, and it was all down to her looks. She even went to the extreme of having cosmetic surgery to make herself look more beautiful.
Still, what does beauty mean? Is it something that we should all be conscious of, or is it only for ‘beautiful people’? Well, we are all beautiful; there is a natural instinct in us all to look and feel beautiful, even if it is just occasionally, or every day. The trick is to unleash your sexy side, with just a few tricks in order to make your self feel and look beautiful.

Look and Feel Younger Almost Immediately - Here's One Non-Surgical Secret!
By Janet Angel
Over the last twenty-four years I have researched the effects of natural substances on the human body. During my years of wellness counseling I came to know people from all over the world as part of an international research program. Some of these individuals looked much younger and were more vibrant than their actual ages. The ones that stood out were from Europe. In Europe, specifically in Germany, a scientist had perfected a formula that seemed to help reinstate youthfulness. Of course a person at 50yrs of age would not look 25, but results have been quite impressive; so impressive that I decided to look into the formula even further and perhaps try it for myself. I found that as we age, our bodies no longer produce a hormone called Human Growth Hormone.
Human Growth Hormone is produced by the anterior pituitary gland in the brain. It promotes tissue repair, regeneration of bone cells, muscles and vital organs. It also acts to support the immune system in combating infection and disease. HGH also stimulates cell regeneration after cell die-off occurs. HGH levels decline as we age, causing our cell replacement levels to reduce to a fraction of the levels of our youth. It has not been determined why the pituitary gland’s production falls so rapidly. By the age of 45 or so, most people are deficient in HGH, and at eighty the body’s production has been nearly depleted. Scientists have determined that many of the diseases and symptoms associated with aging can be traced to declining levels of HGH in the human body.
HGH contains approximately several dozen amino acids. One amino acid in particular seemed to have a positive effect on muscle mass and fat reduction. One challenge in attempting to develop oral formulas came from the fact that the somatropin molecule was too large to pass through the intestinal lining and into the blood stream. Finally, several companies determined ways of adequately working around this dilemma by targeting the gland that produces HGH. Products like Longevity's HGHR combine two substances that stimulate the pituitary gland to continue producing HGH. Hans Nieper's formula HGHR, or Human Growth Hormone Releaser, contains a membrane integrity factor along with his patented discovery 2-AEP that reinforces and seals the outer cell membrane.
HGH has been extensively covered by Newsweek, Dateline, Oprah Winfrey, and the American Journal of Medicine. Why? Because it works! As we age, the production of Human Growth Hormon declines. Not all HGH products are alike; in fact there is no governing body to regulate these formulas. So,it is important to thoroughly research Human Growth Hormone products before taking any of them. In fact, you might want to discuss the HGH options currently available in the United States. with your physician.
Several years ago, HGH was only available in injection form overseas. True synthetic injectable hormone remains available today by prescription, but its price ($1000-1500 per daily injection) puts it well outside the pocketbooks of most people. The HGH supplements more commonly available today without a prescription fall into one of two categories, releasers and secretagogues. Beyond the actual HGH injections that are quite expensive, individuals in the United States can now order supplements that blend L-group amino HGH amino acids, and those that are homeopathically formulated.
Ten years ago the sublingual form of HGH came to the USA. These formulas were extremely expensive, to the tune of approximately $150 per 4 oz. bottle. One of the best marketed products available in the USA is called Sytropin. It seems that Sytropin is one of the only oral spray supplements having true HGH in homeopathic form. Another formula with a good reputation for success was formulated by one of Europe's most prominent scientists, Dr. Hans Nieper. Both, Hans Nieper's Oral Capsule HGHR formula and Sytropin cost about the same amount for a one month supply, roughly $60, as compared to the injections which cost thousands per month. I do know several movie stars and television personalities along with some affluent citizens who have opted for the injections. These individuals definitely seem to look and act younger. One gentleman whom I met was incredible agile and youthful looking at the age of 80! He has been an advocate of natural health for many years and swears by his daily injections; his girlfriend attests to his youthful abilities.
Can you actually slow down the aging process? ..my vote is YES! I have witnessed skin regeneration, muscle mass improvement, higher energy levels, memory improvement, and weight loss in those individuals taking the injections. I have also been told that participants across the board generally have libido improvement as well.
Although not enough time has elapsed to be able to test the newest HGH stimulators or the sublingual form, I, for one, will give it a try and let you know in six months what I have experienced. In the meantime, please do your own research, talk to your doctor and other health care providers to gain more knowledge. No matter what you do, KEEP EXERCISING, eating right, and doing what you love! When we participate in sports, weight lifting and dancing our bodies get a signal that we are not too old to need strong bones and muscles. Do memory games, puzzles and read, read, read to expand the mind. Get enough oxygen in your body, go for a walk at least three times per week for thirty minutes. Eat more vegetables and fruits and drink purified water.
Before your begin a new health regime, please see your doctor to be sure it is right for you. Wishing you much success in all areas of your life. For more articles on wellness, go to www.TotallyWell.com. For a peek at some financial wellness ideas go to www.LinkToCashNow.com.

Your Must-Know Guide To Discount Contact Lenses
By Helen Hecker
Sales of contact lenses are regulated by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and the FTC (Federal Trade Commission.) Always buy from a reputable company; you can buy discount contact lenses without a prescription, but then the company is selling you a prescription device as if it were an over-the-counter device, in violation of FTC regulations - selling you lenses without having a valid prescription from you. The choice of which lens is right for you should be based only on an examination by your eye doctor or eye care professional, not over the phone.
There are many kinds of contact lenses available: novelty, colored, crazy, Halloween, special effects, theatrical, costume, scary, glow in the dark, wild eyes, mirrored, black, white, red and many others. Before you buy contact lenses from anyone other than your eye care professional, it pays to become a wise consumer first.
In some models, both lenses correct for near and distance vision and in others, one lens is for near vision, and the other is for distance. Extra thin soft lenses are on the market for very sensitive people. The length of continuous lens wear depends on the type and your doctor's evaluation of your tolerance for overnight wear.
If you plan to wear lenses for more than 18 hours a day for the purpose of eye color change, then buy colored soft lenses. It is important for your eyes to have a rest, without lenses, for at least one night following each scheduled removal. And bifocal correction is possible with both soft and rigid lenses.
Soft lenses are much easier to adjust and are much more comfortable than rigid lenses, because they conform to the eye and absorb and hold water. Newer soft lens materials include silicone-hydrogels so as to provide more oxygen to your eyes. Also there are also a few rigid gas-permeable lenses that are designed and approved for overnight wear. Rigid gas-permeable contact lenses are more durable, resistant to deposit buildup, and generally give clearer, crisper vision.
When you place your order for contact lenses, request the manufacturer's written patient information for your contact lenses; it will give you important risk and benefit information as well as instructions for use. Buy your contact lenses from a supplier that you're familiar with and know is reliable or has name familiarity. When you receive your order, if you think you've received incorrect contact lenses, check with your doctor or eye care professional right away; don't accept substitutions unless your eye care professional approves it.
Make sure you have a current, valid prescription when you order your contact lenses. Compare prices - get quotes from two, three or more online and offline suppliers. Before you buy online, check to see if there are any testimonials on the online supplier's website.
Carefully check to make sure the company gives you the exact brand and specifications you ordered, the name of the lens, the power, sphere, cylinder, if any, axis, if any, diameter base curve, and peripheral curves, if any. Wherever you buy, shop for quality and value and don't forget you want to do what is best for the health of your eye. Rebates may be available from the seller or from the manufacturer, for first-time contact lens wearers and for individuals who buy lenses and also get an eye exam.
Don't wear lenses any longer than they're prescribed for, nor when sleeping unless you are otherwise directed to. Under the binding down of a rigid contact lens during sleep, the flow of tears and oxygen to the cornea is reduced; lack of oxygen leaves the eye vulnerable to serious infection. One sight-threatening concern is the infection called Acanthamoeba keratitis, which is caused by improper care of the lenses; this difficult-to-treat parasitic infection's symptoms are similar to those of corneal ulcers.
Microorganisms may be present in distilled water, so always use commercial sterile saline solutions if you plan to use enzyme tablets in water for any disinfection. Daily-wear lenses are removed each day for cleaning and are a safer choice, provided they aren't worn during sleep. Be careful about extended-wear rigid lenses because they can cause unexpected, undesirable, reshaping of the cornea.
If you lead an active lifestyle, contact lenses can provide you with almost natural vision. No matter which lenses your doctor prescribes, be sure to ask for oral and written instructions and follow them carefully. It is becoming easier and easier to shop online and often the shipping is free.

The Truth About The Best Skin Care
By Konstantin Volegna
What is the best skin care product for your skin? The health and beauty market is flooded with products that all claim to be the best skin care products available. Common sense tells us that every product can't be the best. So how do you find a product that will live up to the hype and provide the best skin care possible?
Did you know that the skin is the largest organ of the human body with several important functions to perform. It covers an average area of 17 to 21 square feet and composes approximately one-sixth of the body's weight.
Ignore the hype. By skipping the dazzling pictures and sweet words presented by advertisers, you can get to the meat of any product. This is easily done by examining the ingredients. For example, the best acne treatment for you skin will likely contain salicylic acid or benzyl peroxide to fight the bacteria that causes acne. These ingredients will come in different concentrations, often listed as a percentage. The best acne treatment for sensitive skin will contain a lower percentage of the active ingredient to help avoid burning and irritation. While it may take a few tries before you find the best acne treatment for your skin, reading the label will serve as a compass to point you in the right direction.
Interesting fact: Skin continually renews itself. Old skin cells are gradually shed and replaced by new ones, with most cells being replaced every 28 days. Our skin is almost completely waterproof, making it our natural raincoat. It stores water and fats and regulates our temperature
We've all seen the late-night infomercials, filled with skin care products that claim to take twenty years off of your appearance simply by using their product faithfully. The truth is thatmany skin issues that cause us to appear older, cannot be treated with skin care products alone.
Treatment by a dermatologist is needed to effectively remove stretch marks, age spots, scars and deep wrinkles. Unfortunately, there is no fountain of youth that skin care products can draw from, that will alter your genetic aging destiny.
Your genetic predisposition and your skin type are the two major factors that will determine which product is the best skin care treatment for you. Using a product's label to sort out the active ingredients is key to cutting through the advertising hype. The ingredients will help you decide which products are the best skin care treatment for your skin. Getting the best skin care treatment doesn't have to be a guessing game. You can navigate through the maze of bogus products and find the perfect skin care product for you.

Practical Tips On Choosing The Right Perfume
By Roberto Sedycias
Perfume is considered to be one of the most must-haves for any status-conscious person in any society. Initially, it was being used by the upper-class society as a high-end accessory; but, later it became available even to the most common person in the society. In the modern age, the use of perfume has become virtually indispensable as it potentially adds to the personality of a person.
The history and background of perfume can be traced back to the ancient times of Egypt. The word `Perfume` has been coined by the combination of two Latin words such as `Per` (Through) and `Fume` (Smoke). The art of making perfumes took place in ancient Egypt but it was the Romans and the Arabs who improved it subsequently. There are many procedures being followed these days for making the modern perfumes but the most general process is extracting oils from flowers by distillation which was introduced by an Iranian doctor named Avicenna.
Usually, the exact formulae of making perfumes and fragrances are kept confidential by the designer houses; however, some perfume specialists are skilled enough to identify the ingredients, components and origins of the perfume and scents. At the present day, France is dominating the European perfume design and trade industry, and the `Perfumery` has become one of the most potentially profitable businesses in the world.
How to pick the right perfume?
Choosing the right perfume and fragrance has become increasingly difficult for the customers as the cosmetic market is being invaded by numerous new perfumes and scent brands each and every day. Now a days, perfumes and fragrances can be found in different flavors and ingredients. They are being manufactured and offered in bottles of different shapes and sizes according to the needs of the targeted customers. While visiting a cosmetic store, a customer often gets confused about what could be the right one for him/her. However, there are some guidelines if followed can help those confused customers remove their doubts and select the right perfume for them.
They are as follows:
Skin:
Try different perfumes and fragrances to know what suits your skin the best. No two perfumes are alike in fragrance, flavor and smell. Hence what suits the most, may not necessarily suit you.
Do not just blindly follow the branded perfumes. It really pays to try different perfumes before you settle for one.
Smell:
Always go for a perfume that contains fresh smells and makes you attractive and impressive.
Have your best friend (preferably female) give his/her views on the particular perfume you are trying. Often, it is the other person who can tell you what goes right with you.
Ingredients and Flavors:
Perfumes can be selected using different ingredients and flavors. They are different categories of perfumes such as woody perfume, fruit perfume, floral perfume, oceanic perfume, greens perfume and oriental perfume. Usually, each of these fragrances is suitable for a male or female depending on their personal preference. However, you can always go for one that best suits your personality and life-style.
Climate and Season:
While choosing a perfume, one should consider the climate and season. What goes best in the winter may not be even good enough in the summer. Hence, it is extremely important to choose the perfume that does justice to the climate and to your skin.
Moreover, perfumes should be selected as per the occasions and festivals too. For instance, a particular perfume may be just perfect for a birthday party you are attending, but when it comes to a boardroom meeting you have choose a different one.

What is Cosmetic Tattooing?
By Melissa Daniels
Cosmetic Tattooing is a treatment that has been around since Cleopatra, and in our ever-ageless world has become just as popular as Cosmetic Surgery. This is a para-medical treatment that offers fullness to fading and shrinking lips, highlight and definition to eyes and perfection to eyebrow shapes. It is performed like a traditional tattoo, however a pigment is used instead of Indian Ink. This is for cosmetic reasons, allowing breakdown over a 3-5 year period, allowing for change with age and fashion trends. By being a pigment rather than an ink, also means it has very few allergic reactors.
Now I know that some of you would be thinking to yourself-Who would have that done and Why? The answer is probably someone you already know. The treatment is beneficial to executives needing to be well groomed at all times, busy mums who no longer have time for makeup application, sportswomen, and the more mature woman wanting to re-enhance their appearance and look younger. If you look around, most people have uneven eyebrows (normally due to being over-waxed or plucked), seven out of ten women wear lipstick, and six out of ten wear eyeliner. So having this treatment done by a qualified and competent practitioner, not only saves time in the mornings, it makes you look great all the time, and corrects or enhances your natural features. Once again if your practitioner is competent and artistic, the procedures should make you look like a more enhanced and youthful YOU, not a branded mannequin.
Lots of people ask or worry about pain factor, especially as treatments are on the face.
Generally the procedures only cause mild discomfort, and strong topical anaesthetics are on hand to help alleviate your discomfort. Swelling can occur and last 24-48 hours (home care is advised on how to minimise swelling and have the best result). There are a lot of people out and about doing procedures like these with minimal qualifications, which obviously is very scary, especially if they are going to touch your face If this is a treatment that interests you, I can tell you personally from having it done, that for me is marvellous, and a great time saver. My eyebrows are symmetrical all the time, no longer needing eyebrow pencil, I look like I have eyes when I wake up, and my lips always have colour in them. Fantastic for a quick get away in the mornings, just applying some mascara and lip gloss.
Make sure you look into your practitioners qualifications, their before and after photos, and don’t just choose a practitioner on price alone, remember your not purchasing a lipstick-this is a para-medical procedure. This means there is down time (healing time),there will be swelling and your not going to initially walk out feeling like Princess Diana. Make sure your well prepared for this, and that your practitioner has answered all your questions, and is using all disposable equipment(needles, gloves etc).
My qualifications for these reasons were of utmost importance to me.I am and have been an Aesthetician (para-medical Beauty Therapist) and Make-up artist for 18 years and a qualified Cosmetic Tattooist for 8 years. I researched and studied Cosmetic Tattooing with an international practitioner for 2 years and did advance training with Australia’s pioneer of tattooing.
Please make sure your practitioner of choice, hasn’t only done a two day course. If you would like some questions answered or some free advice please email Melissa on meldaniels@aapt.net.au or to talk to her personally call Sydney Number 02 96057757

Beauty And The Blueberry
By Sam Serio
Now we all know that fruit has fantastic properties that can enhance our natural beauty and might even stop the aging process somewhat. That is a must in modern society because everyone and their dogs want to stop the natural aging process and preserve their youth forever. It is all about looking young in today’s world. Now fruit in general may not enable you to maintain your beauty, but one particular fruit can contribute to your beauty far more than others. Meet the blueberry!
Blueberries contain more antioxidants than any other fruit, which is extremely beneficial to our exterior beauty. Antioxidants attack the free radicals, or substances that are created within our own bodies, that naturally attack and degrade cells and thus cause aging of the skin. Obviously this has more serious repercussions as they also attack various other cells within the body, but as far as beauty is concerned, they do have anti-aging properties.
Blueberries are also a great source of vitamins, especially vitamin C. 140g of blueberries actually contains 30% of our daily recommended dose. The purpose of vitamin C is to help the body in cell renewal, which is essential to the skin. Cell regeneration naturally slows down when we get older, which is why we get wrinkles and weak spots, but a plentiful supply of vitamin C along with antioxidants can help to keep this at bay. Consuming blueberries on a daily basis can therefore help to keep you beautiful, both on the inside and the outside.
Blueberries can also be used to literally keep you beautiful. There are recipes that can be used as facemasks and body scrubs that are easily home made and cost very little to prepare. One example is a paste that can double up as a facemask and a body scrub. It is designed to perk up tired skin as well as exfoliate dead skin and remove excess oil. Regular use should actually reduce the excess oil produced by the skin. Simply put a cup full of blueberries in a blender with a cup of oats, five or six almonds and two tablespoons of honey. Mix until the contents of the blender become a fine paste and then use on your face. It should be left on until it is dry, which takes roughly around 15 minutes, and then washed off with warm water. If you want to use it as a body scrub, just roughly blend it until the oats are chopped before use. The mixture can be refrigerated for future use, but you should be careful that the blueberries don’t get on your clothes because they do stain!
As you can see, blueberries can be of benefit to you in every aspect to your beauty regime.
Whether you use them in home beauty concoctions or eat them blueberries can seriously help you to look and feel healthy. How many other fruits and foods can you say that about? Take advantage of nature and reap the health and beauty benefits!
Sam Serio is a true blue devotee of the blueberry and a life long student of health and nutrition. Sam Serio is also the producer of the Annual Chincoteague Blueberry Festival which is held the third weekend of July on the beautiful island of Chincoteague in Virginia. This midsummer celebration of nature's tastiest and most healthy gift - the Blueberry is combined with a "Christmas in July" Craft Shopping Extravaganza the premier Fine Art and Craft event on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Shedding Some Light on Sunblock Facts
By Angie L
What is the largest and heaviest organ of the human body? No, it’s not the stomach and it isn’t our brains, either. It’s our skin and it is definitely one of the most important parts of our body.
Listen to these facts: The average adult skin weighs 101 lbs. and measures 20-sq. ft. when stretched out. While it may be our largest organ, it is often time our most neglected when it comes to care. No where else is this more evident than our lackadaisical attitude towards protecting it from the sun.
We all know how important it is to apply sunblock, but do we really know all of the truths concerning sunblock protection? The following are a few of the most misunderstood misconceptions we have regarding sunblock protection, followed with the correct facts we should all know.
MYTH - The SPF of a sunblock determines how well it offers protection.
FACT - The SPF relates only to UVB frequencies and nothing with UVA radiation, which is the cause of more long-term damage. The key is to find a broad spectrum sunblock that protects from both UVA and UVB rays. Look for the very important protective ingredients of zinc oxide and titanium dioxide.
MYTH - Sunscreens and sunblocks prevent skin cancer.
FACT –Sunscreens help reduce the risk of additional UV damage more than anything but they do not prevent it. The damage from sun exposure is collective. Skin cancers can form even with and after use of sunscreens due to previous UV exposure.
MYTH – You cannot burn on cloudy days.
FACT - On a cloudy day, your skin is exposed to fewer UVB rays, but 65% of the sun’s damaging UVA rays penetrate both clouds and glass. You can unknowingly become severely burned while driving a car on a cloudy day.
MYTH –Wearing foundation make up with SPF’s of #4 or #8 won’t require an additional sunscreen or sunblock.
FACT - The FDA states that a minimum of SPF 15 is needed to protect you from the sun. There are very few make-up foundations which contain higher numbers than an eight. If you do happen find one that does have an SPF 15, then jump on it. If by chance you can’t find one, then be sure to wear an SPF 15 sunscreen under your foundation.
MYTH – Only sunblocks and sunscreens protect from sun damage and premature aging.
FACT – True, sunblocks and sunscreens are essential, but there are other products which canincrease the effectiveness of your sunblock. Topical Vitamin C Serum is one that works great.
Any skin care products containing the ingredients hyaluronic acid, collagen, and elastin protect the skin from the sun. Any anti-aging treatments that contain Vitamin A, Alpha Hydroxies, and Beta Hydroxies also help combat premature aging of the skin caused by the sun.
If you don’t feel comfortable with any of the above listed suggestion in protecting your skin from the sun, there are a few other things that can protect you even more than the best sunblock on the market. Sunblocks like long-sleeved shirts or a nice, shady tree work wonders and have been used to years.
For more information on makeup subjects such as this, be sure to visit the experts from MakeUpTip at www.makeuptip.com. When they’re done, your face will look like you just left an expensive salon. They offer tips on how to achieve a velvety, natural finish and keep your eye makeup lasting longer.

Shaving Your Face Is An Art Form-And So Is Male Skin Care
By Jayne Miller
Shaving a man’s face is truly an art form. Well, shaving a man’s face without producing rashes, cuts, and dry leathery skin is an art form. Ask any professional barber. For those men who want to get the most out of a ritual that they will repeat 20 thousand times during the course of their lives there are great shaving and skin care products available to them.
Shaving is no doubt a chore that probably no man enjoys, unless he is getting paid for it. Here are a few tips to help you get the best result out of shaving your face.
Shave in the shower
Shaving after you have soaked yourself in the shower prepares your skin for the best shave. Hot steamy showers open pores and plump them up.
Face scrubs
Believe it or not, a mild face scrub will help prime hair follicles and raise hair stubs for a closer shave. It also helps prevent ingrown hairs.
Moisten your skin with a high-end shaving product
For a close shave, a man needs something that will produce a slick lubricating surface to prevent the blades from scraping the skin.
Use a sharp blade
Yes, having to buy overly-priced razor blades should be a crime but do it anyway. Shave gently; pressing down with the razor does not give you a closer shave. Do not pull the skin tight and shave with downward strokes in the direction of beard growth. Try not to repeat strokes; if you simply must, reapply your high-end shaving product to re-lubricate your skin. These tips will help prevent ingrown hairs, aka razor bumps.
Don’t put stinging aftershaves on your freshly shaved mug
If it stings, tingles, or makes your face numb, don’t use it. This includes products containing alcohol, menthol, and peppermint.
Last step
Use a soothing and moisturizing product after you shave to calm irritation and add needed moisture. It may sound like a girly thing to do but you will see and enjoy the positive results from using a good product.
There are really great products on the market to help men through the daily ritual of shaving and for basic skin care. They are formulated for men’s skin and have fragrances designed to please male olfactory senses. Adding a basic skin care regimen to complement good shaving practices really involves adding a good cleanser and toner, plus using a face scrub at least once a week (remember, face scrubs help provide a closer shave).
There are many brands of shaving and skin care products for men. One of the oldest established brands is Truefitt & Hill, established by barber William Truefitt in London, England, in 1805, who became so well known in the art of shaving that King George III appointed him court barber. The Art of Shaving is a new popular brand that is aromatherapy-based and specifically blended for every skin type. Order these high-end shaving and skin care products online at Heroes and Legacies, http://www.heroesandlegacies.com/index.shtml

Eyebrow Plucking Tips
By Jane Campsie
Plucking is the best way to shape your eyebrows, although some women prefer waxing. But be warned: this is best done by a professional unless you want to wax off half an eyebrow. Eyebrow plucking is an art. There is skill, patience and creativity involved. You'll need good vision, the perfect tools and a sense of symmetry. For starters, look at your eyebrows in a mirror.
Stepback at least three feet so that you have a full, clear perspective of what your facial features.
Pluck your eyebrows when your pores are open. This is either after a shower or after you have applied a hot face cloth to your skin for a few minutes. Perfect eyebrows almost transcend the beauty of the face and make an immediate visible impact in a makeover session. The best time to pluck your eyebrows are after you get out of the shower. The pores are still open and it doesn't sting quite as much.
Stopping to access your plucking progress will help measure your results and prevent over-plucking. Eyebrow plucking should ideally be timed just before hitting the sack as the sleep time that follows allows any subsequent redness to disappear overnight. Slant edge tweezers, which grip hairs easily, are best for shaping brows while combing hairs one way, then the other, helps remove loose strands. Pluck hairs in the direction that they grow. Doing so will keep the hairs smooth and will hurt less.pluck stray hairs underneath the eyebrow arch and anything else outside the natural brow line. Eyebrow plucking tips to help you achieve beautiful eyebrows.
After plucking a few hairs, always stop to look at what you have done. You may be over-plucking and you might not even realize it.
Tips for eyebrow tweezing / plucking:
1. Do not tweeze too much.
2. The hair can be softened first with a hair conditioner or shaving cream.
3. If your brows are making the slight arc then you have the best brow.
4. Do clean skin. Brush your brows up and out.
5. Use a good pair of tweezers to tweeze your brows. Use magnifying mirror and do the task in perfect bright light.
6. Eyebrows slanting upwards make you look angry, so be careful not to take off too much at the outer corners.
7. If you want both top and bottoms to be smooth as much as you can, you can pluck the top and the bottom.
8. Do not over pluck your brows. Plucking with proper care and in limitations is as important as tweezing or plucking.
9. Once plucking is done, apply some good quality gel to remove redness etc. Applying gel will make your eyes calm and finish irritation due to tweezing or plucking.
Jane writes articles on eyebrow threading and eye makeup tips. She also writes articles on eyebrow tips.

The Miracle Wrinkle Blaster
By Sally Taylor
You get up one morning and look in the mirror. Gasp! You look ten years older today than you did yesterday. The wrinkles have set in something furious overnight. Grabbing your moisturizing cream you completely slather your face with it and go about your morning routine only to find when you return to the mirror that the cream didn't do much for you. Before you panic or decide that life as you know it has taken a quick one way path to premature old age, just take it as a warning and relax. Much of the "overnight prune" syndrome can be fixed easily without a lot of expensive or lengthy treatment.
Before you do anything, take time to study your face in the mirror. The areas that look bad are the areas you should pay close attention to in your daily care routines. Now that you have that information, it's time to fix the damage. How your skin can degenerate so badly overnight isn't usually a complicated question either. You may have already noticed that some days you look a lot younger and healthier than others. The explanation is almost always very simple. You are dehydrated.
While the statistics vary a percent or two, they all concur that your body is over 90% water.
Water keeps you cells plump and healthy. It allows toxins and wastes to be removed into the blood stream and filtered from the body and aids in the absorption of nutrients and oxygen. If you don't have enough of this vital fluid in your system your cells shrivel and your skin becomes wrinkled and leathery. When this happens you also have cells being damaged by poisons that are not being washed away from them and nutrients not getting into them.
Dehydration can be confusing because you won't always feel thirsty when you are dehydrating.
By the time you do feel thirst, your skin is already on its way to shriveling. Thirst does not come before dehydration; it is a symptom that tells you that you are dehydrated. Once you feel thirst, you have already got some catching up to do. Dehydration can also give false signals of hunger rather than thirst. If you are eating normally and seem to be continually hungry what you actually may need is a big glass of fresh clear water. Put down your fork and pour your self a nice pure glass of non-calorie remedy.
As a rule of thumb you should be normally getting a half ounce of water per day per pound of weight. There are factors that will increase your need, such as exercise, altitude, heat, fever, and even drinking alcohol. If you aren't sure if you are drinking enough liquid, watch your face and hands. Your skin will tell you if you are getting enough. If you didn't get enough water during the day you will continue to dehydrate through your sleeping hours. When you wake up you will then get the shock of your life when you look in the mirror.
If you do wake up shriveled, give yourself a twenty ounce glass of water. Water without chlorine and fluoride are best if you have access, and you always should. Drink that glass quickly then refill it and carry the second glass with you while you attend to your morning routine. Keep the glass with you. You will drink it if it is there. When that glass is near empty, refill it. Repeat that as often as you can manage without allowing yourself to feel bloated or sick. It is possible to drink too fast and your body will quickly tell you when you are doing so by causing discomfort. If you are already dehydrated, however, the normal half ounce per pound will not be enough to bring you back to proper hydration so don't stop just because you have had you "quota" for the day.
After a glass or two of just plain water you might want to drink a glass of organic milk, soy milk, juice, or tea between glasses of water. These liquids are all skin food and will nourish your cells while hydrating your body. Dehydration can deplete nutrition in the cells so a glass of orange juice with added calcium is a treat not only for your taste buds but for your skin as well. Do make sure that you drink mostly water throughout the day, though, as your body needs it's pure liquid attribute just as much as it needs other nutrients.
When dehydrated you need to take special care to stay away from coffee and soda pops or other liquids containing caffeine and sugar. While a cup of coffee might not hurt now and then in normal circumstances, while you are dehydrated you should steer clear of it. Soda pop should be avoided at all costs whether you are dehydrated or not. Your body recognizes carbon as waste and too much of that in your bloodstream will overload your immune system as your blood cells concentrate on removing it from your body. Alcohol, too, particularly wine, has argument for it's health benefits in small doses, but when dehydrated it is the last thing you should be drinking.
Alcohol will dry you out rapidly. It only takes a few hours to see the effects of alcohol on your skin.
If you are continuously sipping water and a few skin fluids during the day you will start to see your skin becoming supple and smooth again. If the dehydration was allowed to get far enough it will take a little longer to reverse it, but it will reverse if you just keep the liquid going down.
After a few terrifying wake up calls and seeing how water reverses the damage, you won't need much coaching to be reminded to keep a glass of water with you as you go about your day.

Practicing Natural Hair Care
By Michelle Bery
For those in search of improved health and vitality, increased attention has been given to diet and exercise. We understand now that optimum health relies on proper nutrition and a commitment to consistent physical activity. Diet, especially, plays a significant role in our overall health; and the diet that our bodies best responds to is that which incorporates natural, whole – even organic – choices. Natural foods pack a punch of vitamins and minerals and do not contain chemicals, preservatives, or processed sugars. Experts agree that this is the healthiest diet we can put in our bodies. So when it comes to caring for our hair, it stands to reason that natural hair care will give us the best opportunity for healthy, beautiful hair.
Natural hair care generally refers to every day treatment for our hair using natural products with as little interference from chemicals and machines as possible. For instance, natural hair care starts with shampoo and conditioner that can be used on an every day basis and contains no chemicals that can dry out your hair. The best place to find such products is in a natural whole foods store or health food store. You will find a wide selection of natural shampoo and conditioner that contains ingredients found in nature – honey, milk, and plant extracts. Look for products that work with your particular type of hair – thin, thick, straight, curly, dry, oily, etc.
If your hair is particularly dry, you may need to also treat it with a periodic deep conditioning.
Such natural hair care conditioners can also be found in natural whole foods stores. There are also a number of online resources that offer such products; websites devoted to natural hair and beauty products.
With a commitment to natural hair care comes a commitment to limiting your hair’s exposure to unnatural environmental factors. Limit use of the blow dryer, curling iron, and flat iron as much as possible. Exposing your hair to this forced heat will only serve to dry and damage it in the long term. It is also important to limit your hair’s exposure to the sun; wear a hat as much as possible when outdoors in summer sun.
Natural hair care requires only a little more effort to find products that work with your hair and to avoid those elements that can damage your hair. But taking steps to treat your hair well will reward you with beautiful, healthy hair for years to come.

Makeup Guidelines for a Day at the Beach
By Angie L
I love a day at the beach. There is just something about a nice, relaxing day enjoying myself listening to the waves. I’m not sure what I like most about the beach. I love the sand, the ocean, and especially the bathing suits. My only complaint about the beach, and it’s a minor one, is the beach wrecks havoc with my makeup.
No matter what types of makeup I wore or how I wore it, I usually came back from the beach looking like something that was washed ashore. In other words, I didn’t look too good.
The hot sun, the even hotter sand and waves may not be my makeup’s best friend but that doesn’t mean I can’t try different makeup secrets for a perfect day at the beach. These tips will help you look your best for all of those hot guys the next time you plan for a day at the beach.
The most important thing you can do for a day at the beach is to apply sunscreen. Even if it’s cloudy, cold or rainy. You should apply it before you go in the sun and applied frequently throughout the day. Try to use a sunscreen lotion with an SPF-30 or higher. The higher the SPF, the more effective it protects your skin from harmful sunrays and prevents skin cancer.
A good method of applying sunscreen is to exfoliate the skin on your face beforehand. Then, apply the about 15-20 minutes before going outside. Reapply it around every two or three hours.
Even out your skin tone using a foundation that matches your natural color. You may need to apply concealer to cover any blemishes you missed.
Use a blush the color of your natural flushed color and apply it using a large brush with a sweeping motion on the apples of your cheeks. Always go with the natural look without overdoing it. Of course, waterproof is the way to go here as well.
Skip using any eye makeup, since it will just wash off in the water or look unnatural and scary.
Instead, simply use a single color on your eyelids and waterproof brown or black mascara. While higher quality products may be more expensive, they often provide better results. If you have oily skin, use a powder to set your makeup.
Use a sheer color on your lips that is one or two shades darker than your natural lip color. Try a sheer shimmery lip tint with an SPF of 15 or more to give your lips a great sheen and sun protection as well. For many women, a lip gloss normally provides more than enough color.
Carry your any makeup products you will think you need throughout the day in your beach bag. You may need to reapply some.
When you leave the beach, never think that you are safe from the sun until you soothe and moisturize your skin for makeup. Aloe Vera is very effective herb for doing this. It gives the best results by using it as an oil-free moisturizer after sweating all day long on the beach.
If you’ll be basking under the sun all day, wearing long hat is a good idea. It is ideal for covering up your face and hair to prevent any further sun damage.

Beauty and Fitness
By Preity Zzine
Health is wealth. By being physically fit, it can make a person look lean both inside and out.
There is a lot a person can do such jogging or walking in the morning, playing basketball or any other sport with friends but if a person wants to have muscles and look lean, the best thing to do will be to sign up and workout in a gym.
Just like taking any medicine, one should first consult the doctor before undergoing any form of exercise.
Physical exercise is beneficial because it helps maintain and improve ones health from a variety of diseases and premature death. It also makes a person feel happier and increases ones self esteem preventing one from falling into depression or anxiety. It has also shown to make a person with an active lifestyle live longer than a person who doesn’t.
The best exercise plan should have cardiovascular and weight training exercises. This helps burn calories and increase the muscle to fat ratio that will increase ones metabolism and make one either gain or lose weight.
A person who has never worked out before should do it gradually. Doing it too much for the first time can make one pull a muscle or have an injury making it worse. Endurance will never be built in a day and doing it repeatedly will surely be good to the person.
Focusing on certain portion in the body can help make it improve. A good example is going to the gym and doing a workout more often in a specific area such as the abs can give one a chest pack.
But beauty is not only about having muscles which is what people can see. It is also about enhancing the beauty within.
Here are some things one can do everyday to stay beautiful and healthy;
· Reading books and other reading material more often keeps the mind sharp just like working out keeps the body in shape.
· Work no matter what kind it is produces stress. One can reduce this by taking the time out to do something special like lying in a hot tub, shopping or watching a movie. Studies have shown it is reliever and helps one from looking haggardly.
· Pollution is something people cannot control given the size of the problem. When one goes out, it is best to put some form of protection such as beauty products that contain antioxidants that protect the skin from damage. There are also other beauty products available and choosing the right one with the help of a dermatologist can help the person.
· Another way to stay healthy is to give up some vices. Most people smoke and drink. Smoking has been proven to cause lung cancer and other diseases as well complications for women giving birth. Excessive drinking has also shown to do the same.
· For people who don’t smoke, it is best to stay away from people who do since studies have shown that nonsmokers are also at risk of developing cancer due to secondary smoke inhalation.
· Lastly, it is best to always start the day with a positive outlook. Just as studies have shown that exercise makes a person feel happier, smiling produces the same effect. A smile can do a lot and it is contagious in a positive sense. It brightens the day of not only one but others as well.

Bikini Waxing 7 Reasons Why You Should Have One
By Kelly Price
Summers upon us and the bikini’s will be out so its time to consider the advantages of pubic hair waxing the two most common are the Bikini wax and the more extreme Brazilian wax.
For a woman with a lot of pubic hair, a bikini wax has advantages when wearing a thong, string bikini, or other skimpy swim suit or any other revealing lingerie. Your bikini line is smooth and attractive – This is not the only advantage though and in this article we will look at all the advantages in more detail.
Pubic waxing history
It’s certainly not new and has been around for thousands of years and women were waxing in ancient Greece, Persia and India just to name a few countries where women engaged in waxing.
The procedure
To perform a bikini wax, a waxer applies warm wax to a woman's pubic area; places cloth strips on top of the wax, and then removes them when the wax hardens by pulling the cloth strips off the skin taking the pubic hair with it.
Often a small thatch of hair is left above the vagina unlike the Brazilian wax where all the hair is removed so if you are a wax virgin the Bikini wax is less daunting
1. Hygiene
One of the main reasons for considering waxing the pubic hair region is not vanity but it’s hygienic. Pubic hair can get moist and hot and attracts germs this can lead to bad odors and a variety of skin irritations.
Shaving off the pubic hair will dramatically reduce the risk of these problems occurring in the first place.
2. Freedom
Skimpy bikinis, tight lingerie any clothing that is revealing in the pubic region can be worn with confidence without the embarrassment of unsightly pubic hair being revealed.
3. Its Sexy
Women have reported that orgasms can be more intense and oral sex more pleasurable after waxing and men simply love it and the overwhelming majority find it sexually attractive.
4. Its Not Expensive
Today a Bikini wax treatment at a salon or spa is not just for the wealthy. With the rise in the popularity of people waxing salons are offering it as a standard beauty treatment and prices have dropped dramatically.
You can get DIY Waxing kits to wax from home for both Brazilian or Bikini but if you have never waxed before are best off to use a professional waxer in a salon or spa to avoid accidents!
5. It only takes 30 min
In about 30 minutes a skilled professional waxer will have the treatment done so it’s really like having your nails done in terms of time. Like your nails though you need treatments on a regular basis (every 4 – 6 weeks) as pubic hair re grows.
6. Pain
The pain is not as bad as many women think it will be – it’s tolerable for most women. Another point to keep in mind is, as you have more waxing treatments the pain level drops down, as your skin becomes used to the treatment.
7. It prepares you for
The Brazilian wax!
Many women want to go for the full Brazilian wax – which removes all the pubic hair, however the bikini wax is less extreme and if you have one, you can then get a taster of what’s in store when going for waxing Brazilian style!
What is there not to like about bikini waxing?
All women should consider it in light of the following:
It’s hygienic, sensual, liberating, its cheap to do and takes very little time.
It should be considered by all women and if you do have a bikini wax, not only will you love it your partner will to!
