- Know your skin type. This is one of the most important facets to your skin because not every skin care product suits every single person. A person that has oily skin, shouldn't wear the same or use the same products as someone who has dry skin. The products for all skin types as well as the ingredients, are used in order to help aid the person with their specific skin type.

- Drinking a lot of water can help replenish your skin and keep your skin moist which by the way is another really important aspect of keeping your skin healthy!

- Wash your face/skin daily, at least twice a day; once in the morning and once at night before bed. This process will help in getting rid of any elements including chemicals, dirt, grease and makeup. When cleaning your face it's a good idea to use lukewarm water because hot can damage your skin as well as cold.

- When washing your face and exfoliating it's important not to rub too hard, also when applying products around the eyes be sure to use a dabbing motion with your middle fingers, rather than a rubbing motion.

- Try to keep your skin moist at all times, this can be done through using a moisturizer. Dryness can lead to crackling of the top layer of skin and can lead to a rough appearance. Think of this like when you have chapped lips from the winter cold, to replenish the skin and moisturize you usually use lip balm, Vaseline, or something with "oil" in it. Well your face is the same way!

- Avoid the use of soap on your face. Soap should only be used from below the neck. A small but important skin care tip.

- Always use sunscreen, even in your makeup and moisturizers. It's a good idea to even use an SPF in the winter time and on cloudy days as well. UV radiations are known to cause skin cancer, so follow this skin care tip without fail!

- Surprisingly enough; exercise and sleep can also lead to better health in your skin as well. Lack of sleep can result in formation of wrinkles or "bags" below your eyes and lack of exercise can cause your skin to slack and lose its elasticity!

- Treat skin dilemmas with precaution. This skin care tip is about not neglecting any skin problems. Confer With your dermatologist before you go on to use a skin care product.

- Stress can also be harmful to your skin so it's important to take "breathers" when need be to beat the stress in your life. Try doing something you really enjoy doing that you might not get to do all the time, this will often cause relaxation in your body!
